The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

The team sheets are in ladies and gents and as expected, Arsene has gone for a strong looking team as he hopes the momentum of our current run will help us get a result at Goodison Park this evening. As expected Gabriel moves across to replace the injured Mustafi with Hector Bellerin making his first start since our 1-1 draw against the inferiors last month. We will miss the passing quality of Mustafi but at least we have Granit Xhaka dropping deep to get on the ball and take care of that responsibility.

Arsene has gone for Francis Coquelin once again alongside the Swiss International and rightly so I reckon. Both have been superb in recent games and I think our attackers have been able to produce because of that platform behind and around them.

I wondered if we would see Giroud back in the team tonight as Everton have been pretty poo in the air, well that is what I read so it must be true. But Arsene will continue with Alexis as centre forward with the big Frenchman on the bench.

Everton have been a little bit poor in recent weeks with manager Koeman under a bit of pressure but we've been down this road before. I remember Koeman's Southampton team going through an awful run of form before facing us and they ended up beating us 4-0 or some lark. Yes the goals were unfortunate for many reasons but still, that wasn't a fun night.

The margins are so small in the PL that if you're not on it, pretty much anyone can beat you.

Confirmed Line Up:

Subs: Ospina, Gibbs, Holding, Elneny, Iwobi, Lucas, Giroud

It’s going to be a difficult game, it’s always been a tough match against Koeman’s team and I expect the same to be the case tonight even if Everton’s form has been in the toilet.

A win though would be sweet as though wouldn’t it? We need to keep up our confidence before our trip to City on the weekend. We may well have to grind this one out a little as I expect the home side to be very defensive in their approach but hopefully we can keep Lukaku quiet and we can find a way through a couple of times during the 90 minutes. I'm picking Theo as a one to watch tonight, hopefully his goal and the return of Bellerin can help him go on another scoring run during an important part of the season.

Fingers crossed we can take the points and come back with a clean bill of health.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
