The whole reason for having a squad in the first place is to deal with injuries and suspensions. Nicklas Bendtner is only around the corner

Not much going on today, not much to look forward to. I will probably do a bit of shopping, tidy the house, do a bit of work and have an early night. For some reason I the sneaky suspicion that something is supposed to be taking place today, I just cannot remember what it could be.

I am of course pulling your leg, I currently have butterflies floating around my insides. I plan to make the long trek from West London to Epsom as a Gooner pal of mine is having a ‘footy feast’ this afternoon. Plenty of variations of food, beer and Arsenal vs Chelsea, followed by Barcelona vs Real Madrid.

But let me go back a day as I didn’t get the chance to mention the unfortunate news that our leading striker will be out for most of the season with his ankle injury. It is obviously a massive blow, especially when we received the rather good news that Robin’s injury would only last 6 weeks or so.

It is awful news and we are going to miss the quality of Robin but I refuse to give up hope on our season just because we lose one player. Thankfully scoring goals hasn’t be a problem for the squad so far so I am sure the players can find a way of dealing with his absence.

Many are hoping that Arsene goes out in the January window and brings in a striker but I am not sure that it is that simple. I suppose it all depends on how much Wenger wanted to buy a striker in the summer, we all know that we were interested in Marouane Chamakh so Wenger still may feel that we are a striker short in the squad but with a list of Eduardo, Vela, Bendtner, Walcott and many shadow strikers I struggle to believe that we are lacking firepower.

Gonna have to bypass all the rest of the news today as time is not on my side. COME ON YOU GUNNERS! LETS DO THIS. Arrghh, I can’t take it.
