Barcelona? I would rather talk about Barnet in this scum free zone

From Barcelona to Barnet who are a club with a hell of a lot more class I may add. I was looking at the group of players who have been in training and we have some good quality involved, regardless of the world cup players being absent

My Barnet tickets turned up today and we are only two days away from the very beginning of the 2010/11 season. This feels like as good a time as ever to concentrate on the season ahead and not focus on the daily irritations that keep swooping down wave after wave.

Yes of course I speak about Barcelona and their intense, persistent harassment of our captain Cesc Fabregas. It has got to the point where I find it hard to work out who was the latest Barcelona player to have made some sort of ‘he will be great at Barcelona’ comment. Is it Messi? Iniesta or is it Busquets?

It is so frequent and so boring that I have decided to stop writing about it altogether. Unless we have an official statement of some sort preferably from Arsenal then I shall ignore it, if there is nothing else to write about then I would rather skip a day of blogging. Of course if something big happens then I will comment but if I read another come and join us plea then I may just be a victim of spontaneous human combustion, and to be honest, I am not sure if I am that up for that right now at this stage of my life.

So Arsenal Vision may end up being a little quiet until after the Barnet game because Barcelona seem to take up 75% of most Arsenal blogs right now.

I was going to write how utterly disgusting someone like Gerard Pique is but what is the point? This is not Barcelona Vision. I have had just about enough of them. I will watch their games because I enjoy the way the play football but it will be difficult to find a more vulgar football club.

Barcelona – Not just a club? Ooh don’t get me started.

From Barcelona to Barnet who are a club with a hell of a lot more class I may add. I was looking at the group of players who have been in training and we have some good quality involved, regardless of the world cup players being absent. Both of the new boys could well feature so that will be interesting. It will be interesting to see which players start the game in the center of defence. Djourou apparently still has strapping around his knee which could just be precautionary, but could also mean that he has some slight concern to the area that kept him out for all of the season apart from the very last against Fulham where he came off the bench.

I am also looking forward to seeing Jack Wilshere in action, hopefully he has been eating his weetabix over the summer weeks and has added some extra power to his frame. Technically, Wilshere does not need much improvement, it is his strength and decisions that need tweaking and enhancing. I am looking forward to see which of the reserves have made that step up.

Congratulations to Thierry Henry who has completed his move to the New York Red Bulls in the United States. He should be head and shoulders above the opposition, even at this stage of his career. So I hope he does well and we get to watch glimpses of what he used to do for us on an almost weekly basis.

Always a legend.

Back again tomorrow, unless there is only one topic of conversation. In which case I will be washing my hair, filing my nails or something.
