Strange time to blog I know, especially so given the fact that my eyes are burning and my bed is calling me pretty loudly. I didn’t manage to find the time to write anything today and I promised myself that I would get back to writing daily so this is something quick and short.

So what do I make of this then? Well you know when players say that they want to concentrate on playing and then have a look at the contract situation in the summer, well that is pretty much how I feel about this. Good player, would improve the squad but at this moment in time it is all pretty irrelevant. It is February, the season does not finish until May and the transfer window does not open until the 1st July. I am much more interested in thinking about our 5-2 demolition of Tottenham and our difficult trip to Anfield.

Boring I know, but that is where my head is at right now. I am also a little confused about what we would do with Lukas Podolski. Let me stop you there before you start frothing at me. Top player, another goal scorer and we lack quality striking depth so I understand that but in terms of our system and style of players in our attacking positions.

Robin has had a knock for Holland *wince* but it shouldn’t be too serious and he should be ready to play tomorrow. How about not risking him at all and just sticking him on the bench. You know you want to Mr van Marwijk. The idea of van Persie playing against English center backs some of which who are playing for club sides who are competing with us is making me a little worried. I don’t know why but I don’t like it very much.
