They need to fight for every ball, win the majority of the first and second balls. We need to see the same Adebayor who tormented Manchester United at Old Trafford a few seasons ago
Good morning Gooners,
I feel the nerves flowing through by body, the anticipation is too great. Not quite sure why I am writing a novel today but anyway, I’ll proceed.
That game at the Emirates is still one that haunts me. I will go as far as to say it hurt more than any defeat has done so far this season. I remember feeling absolutely sick to my stomach, I was with a couple of mates and I just couldn’t speak afterwards. It felt a little like the defeat against Barca did, strange thing to say I know but that is how I felt. I bloody hope the players felt at least my pain after that game, if they did then I expect a totally committed and fighting performance out there today.
They need to fight for every ball, win the majority of the first and second balls. We need to see the same Adebayor who tormented Manchester United at Old Trafford a few seasons ago. I know Van Persie will be fired up for this one as he has been for quite a few games on the trot now.
Alex Song and Denilson will be the players in charge of winning the battle against the likes of new signing Wilson Palacios and Didier Zokora. The inclusion of Emmanuel Eboue on the right will help the team do that, the problem may be creating chances. Most of the burden will be on the shoulders of Samir Nasri and Robin Van Persie. I hope Denilson can get on the ball in the final third instead of being pushed too far back.
The team pretty much picks itself. I do not think there are any questions about which players will be selected, the obvious question will be is Andrey Arshavin allowed the opportunity to sit on the bench and perhaps make his debut late into the second half.
I hope he has shown enough fitness and sharpness to get at least 15 minutes after the talk it would be nice to see his feet do the talking.

Other News
This is nothing but a fact. Van Persie, Cesc and Adebayor called up the News of the world and arranged a meeting. They spoke to the reporter and his mate Mr Source Closetoarsenal about their desire to leave Arsenal if the club do not get into the champions league. They had biscuits, hot tea as apposed to cold of course. Adebayor brought some new soothing music and Cesc brought some home made sandwiches. Our players poured their hearts out to the reporter and Mr Source who have done a sterling job in reporting the truth as they always do.
So if you want to know how they found out this ‘news’ then this is it.
The story doesn’t actually annoy me, it is our supporters who swallow it up and start whinging and complaining about it on blogs, especially ones that are known for it. To be honest, I have to remember that the Internet is open to anyone at practically any age. You have to realise that 90% of hysterical posters are probably early teens or younger.
Well that is about the size of it for now. One thing I will say before I go.. COME ON YOU REDSSSS!!!
