Arsenal haven’t faced a pressing machine like Dortmund this season, arguably the best pressers in Europe at present. They will only be encouraged to imprint their game plan on us without Theo Walcott making them hesitate at the other end. I wonder if Mikel Arteta will be targeted for special attention just as he had been not so long ago when the opposition realised how important he was to the build up of the Arsenal attack.

Rather than a preview this will only be a few short words as time is against me today. I was simply too excited to just leave it altogether.
Tonight will be the toughest test of the season for both sides so far. Both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have been in fine form this season and have entertained crowds in England and Germany. It is difficult not to like Jürgen Klopp and his teams. There is a likeness to Arsenal in terms of approach both in terms of playing style and player recruitment so any team that resembles us will get a thumbs up from me.
Arsenal haven’t faced a pressing machine like Dortmund this season, arguably the best team at pressurising the opposition high up the pitch in Europe at present. They will only be encouraged to imprint their game plan on us without Theo Walcott making them hesitate at the other end. I wonder if Mikel Arteta will be targeted for special attention just as he had been not so long ago by many teams when the opposition realised how important he was to the build up of our play from the back.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see launched balls to both Giroud and Sagna to flick on to Arsenal players gathering in close proximity so we can start our build ups far higher up the pitch. There are not many better players at making accurate flick ons in this league than Giroud.
I mentioned last night that I thought Tomas Rosicky would come in for Santi Cazorla, read the article to find out why. It makes sense in one respect but when playing against a team that don’t let you have time you kinda want Cazorla in the team because that fella can keep a ball in almost any situation. If Rosicky does start then I want to see if he and Özil can continue where they left off against Napoli in that first half. Tomas was not at all match sharp but he had an instant understanding with Mesut Özil. Little give and go’s, first time passes around the corner and such like. I’d like to see that again.
Reus vs Sagna should be very interesting also but he won’t be restricted to the left, Reus will come in and play give and go’s with Robert Lewandowski and try and get in between our centre backs. Kos will have to Boss and we know he is perfectly capable of that.
It should be a fascinating game of football and three points would put us in a fantastic position to qualify from a very difficult group. As Wenger would say, let us show how good we are.
