Which Arsenal Players Would Rock at Poker?

Our loveable Gooner would get disqualified before the game was over. Bursts of ‘Aha!’ would be frowned upon from the start. How he’d last the whole game before pulling a practical joke on someone is beyond me. I could see Podolski with his feet up on the table making joke hand signals before being told to leave the table.

Which Arsenal Players Would Rock at Poker?

We all know that Arsene Wenger would be the greatest footballing Poker player in the league such is his vast experience and intelligence but I wondered what Arsenal players would make good or terrible poker players. I am going to write a piece giving my reasons.

Mesut Ozil – Hit

The German’s languid style, makes it look as if he is just going through the motions until he destroys you in a matter of seconds with a burst into space or that killer pass. Imagine Mesut sitting at the table, looking almost disinterested. Surely he has a poor hand, he isn’t even concentrating on the game so my hand must be stronger. SMACK goes Ozil’s cards on the table. Goodnight!

Lukas Podolski – Fail

Our loveable Gooner would get disqualified before the game was over. Bursts of ‘Aha!’ would be frowned upon from the start. How he’d last the whole game before pulling a practical joke on someone is beyond me. I could see Podolski with his feet up on the table making joke hand signals before being told to leave the table. Lukas knows all the best games to play I just doubt that any of those games involve poker.

Santi Cazorla – Hit

The little Spaniard would dazzle opponents with his double handed card tricks. Before the game starts you wonder where his mum is, given his lack of height but when the game gets going his speed of hands and loveable smile would be too much for me that’s for sure.

Nicklas Bendtner – Fail

Bendy wouldn’t last a couple of minutes on the table without giving the game away. He’d have all his card numbers sprawled across his pants and back of his expensive jumper. He wouldn’t be able to help himself.

What is Poker?

Poker is a card game involving betting and individual play. The winner is determined by the ranks and combinations of their cards, some of which remain hidden until the end of the game. Poker games vary in the number of cards dealt, the number of shared cards and the number of cards that remain hidden. The betting procedures vary among different poker games in such ways as betting limits and splitting the pot between a high hand and a low hand.
