The Gunners slammed the summer transfer window shut with adding Danny Welbeck to the list of other new faces at The Emirates. Welbeck joins other prized signings Alexis Sanchez, Calum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy. Arsenal is banking that this recent upgrade of world-class speedsters will help them finish in the top five and compete with Premier League favourites Chelsea in the 2014/15 season.

Sanchez clearly headlines the list of Arsenal newcomers and this can relieve some pressure off of Welbeck’s shoulders. The £16 million transfer of Welbeck from rival Manchester United finalized manager Arsene Wenger’s revamps to his 25-man roster. In Wenger’s system, Welbeck will have a greater opportunity to shine playing at centre-forward. He brings agility and power that can catapult the pace and give better offensive results

Sanchez’s performance for Chile in the World Cup was nothing short of brilliant. He proved his value and status as one of the best players in the tournament. He can score goals with his quick movement and is one of the strongest there is on the ball. Playing alongside Welbeck

The 19-year-old is still gaining experience but his potential has already shown potential to be better on the ball than fellow centre-backs Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker.

French international Mathieu Debuchy started his Arsenal career brilliantly, getting involved to help his new team score a go ahead 2-1 goal in the 91st minute against Crystal Palace. This dramatic game winner during stoppage time goal was slammed in by Aaron Ramsey off of a save from Debuchy’s right footed shot from the centre of the box.

Debuchy fills the void at right-back that was occupied for seven-years by Bacary Sagna who left for Manchester City. The tenacity and quickness that Debuchy brings is a practical replacement.

The overhaul has a noticeable attacking theme to stay on pace with their EPL competition. Last season, Arsenal punched in over 30 less goals than league champs Manchester City. Wenger will use the new arrivals of Sanchez, Welbeck, Chambers and Debuchy to formulate elusive combinations on the attack. Using more speed tactics against opposing EPL and Champions League defenses has the potential to catch them out of position. Look for more goals from the Gunners being generated from a new found accelerated pace.
