Realistically, the Premier League title is Arsenal’s last chance of silverware this season. The FA Cup quarter-final defeat by Watford was massively disappointing and Wenger now has the difficult task of motivating the players for the title run-in.

While no one is exactly breathing down Leicester’s neck right now, Arsenal are certainly capable of putting a run of form together and Claudio Ranieri’s men could slip up if put under enough pressure. It will take something special but Arsenal are a special club and CAN still go on to win the crown this season.

Wenger has come under intense scrutiny this season after he decided not to invest in a new striker last summer. Instead, he opted to place all of his faith in Giroud and Walcott.

And while Giroud has had his fair share of negative moments this season, he’s shown enough quality to suggest that he deserves to be a part of this Arsenal squad. But ultimately, that’s what he is – a squad player. Giroud simply isn’t good enough to lead the line on a week in, week out basis and the legend that is Thierry has talked about the need for a focal point in attack.

Instead, Wenger must give Welbeck the chance to guide Arsenal to one of the craziest title triumphs in Premier League history. The former Manchester United striker scored a last-minute winner against Leicester City in February to keep title hopes alive and Welbeck’s versatility would certainly benefit the free-flowing attacking unit – especially with Sanchez and Ozil in the side.

If the league is going to be won, it will be done the hard way. When this article was produced, Wenger’s men were 11/2 to win the title in the Premier League betting markets but fans will remain positive about their chances – especially as both Leicester and Tottenham have difficult games in the run-in. Although their position is ominous, there will still be plenty of twists and turns in this year’s title race. That said I’m not too sure that we will see any FanBet Free Betting on Arsenal lifting the title this season.

With two months of the season to go, it’s far from over and Arsenal stand a great chance of challenging and closing the gap at the top of the table – if they avoid serious injury issues in the coming weeks. Time is running out and the pressure is firmly on but, with a bit of luck, Wenger’s men can still defy the odds and lift the title at the end of the greatest and most open season in Premier League history.
