10 Gooners to leave so far.. apparently & Other news

As I am on that subject, what exactly is the difference between Eboue and Lennon? One player is ridiculed from his own fans and the other is the new bright thing on the England scene

What on earth are we going to do next season? We might just have to draft in the under 17s as we will not have enough players in our squad. No, it is not injuries that I am talking about here for once, it is because our team are leaving for other clubs.

No, this is not April fools prank, that was yesterday.

You don’t believe me? well just ask the hacks. They get paid for writing about football, this is their job so it must mean that they are very reliable and we can turn to them when we need facts.

You may think I am exaggerating but do not forget that it is only April, we have another 4 months until the window opens and these massive wonderful teams can come and take their pick of our players.

So far it stands as.

Almunia (new club not yet revealed)
Sagna (Juventus)
Gallas (Marseille)
Toure (Manchester City)
Gael Clichy (AC Milan)
Walcott (Leaving for virtually nothing)
Denilson (Barcelona)
Cesc (Real & Barca shared purchase)
Diaby (Inter Milan)
Van Persie (Barcelona)
Adebayor (AC Milan)

Soon to be unveiled
Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy
Walcott Denilson Cesc Diaby
Van Persie Adebayor

Well that is a pretty decent team isn’t it? Well try not to get attached to those players over the coming weeks as it is confirmed that they will be off.

We cannot even laugh at our rivals, the press have not had a mention of Ronaldo joining Real Madrid even after the blatant ‘I want to leave comments from the winger last summer. Drogba is now very happy that he has a new coach. Although I do not buy the tabloids, I often find them abandoned on train seats and I will flick through page 3 the sports pages and I do not remember the last time a player was linked with a move away from one of the big clubs other than ourselves.

As I said these writers and reporters are professionals and have a duty to be unbiased so I believe every word they spout. Why would I not?

Cesc Fabregas is perfect for Barcelona according to big mouth Barcelona president Laporta.

“I would badly like to see Cesc in Barcelona’s shirt, but the opinion of the technical staff is the one that counts regarding decisions,” Laporta told Marca.

“We are aware that he is very talented player and he perfectly knows Barcelona’s style.”

Thats it, get it in nice and early. Forget all the I am happy at Arsenal comments from Cesc and his father. Please can our club do something about this. It is time we start reporting these bully boy clubs, infact we also need Peter Hill-Wood to come out and say the same about Messi, if there was one man who would do that at our club it is old Peter.

Then to add insult to injury Laporta said.

“He is an home-grown player who is happy at Arsenal, and it would be a lack of respect to Arsenal to speak about it.”

Is he taking the piss or what? Laporta you are a fake tanned big mouthed prick but I wouldn’t want to insult him or anything that wouldn’t be very nice.

Be prepared for much more of this over the coming weeks, it won’t go away until the window is shut again, oh it is shut. It will never stop, we just have to cover our ears and say “blah blah blah!!!”

You may have noticed Sagna on that list, well that is because he is joining Juventus according to reports today.

But its ok because one of those positions will be filled when Armand Traore comes back to the club, he claims that he has a future at the club.

Traore said:

“First of all I am going to return to Arsenal to work hard,”

“Then I will try to play much more, and why not break into the team in a few seasons’ time? Life is about patience and what I am going to do is remain patient for a few seasons and then we will see.

“All I can tell you is that I am determined to make it with Arsenal.”

I like the lad, think he is very talented but I do not think for one moment that he is a left back. He is very good at running at defenders and speeding past them, perhaps a left sided version of Aaron Lennon but is actually able to find his own player with crosses.

As I am on that subject, what exactly is the difference between Eboue and Lennon? One player is ridiculed from his own fans and the other is the new bright thing on the England scene. The way I see it, both players are technically good, both can beat their man, both fast players but both players make wrong decisions or often have little end product.

I wonder what the media would make of him if he was English. But hey, that is an issue I do not wish to get into.

Traore sure has a fight on his hands to get into our team. The flanks are now our strongest area on the pitch. He is still very young and has many great qualities so you never know for the future. The idea of playing Walcott and Traore when they are in their mid twenties is quite a fun thought though. Imagine having them away from home on the counter attack. Ouch!

Hurray! The internationals are over with, we can concentrate on real proper football. Cesc Fabregas is ready to play from now on according to Arsene Wenger.

Wenger said:

“He is ready to play again. But he needs three games to be back [at his best]. We are due to play eight games in 25 days, which are all decisive,”

It will be interesting to see if Wenger starts him against Manchester City or brings him back in slowly. There are two ways to look at it I guess. Bring him in slowly because he hasn’t played since November and his deputies are doing well or throw him in from the start because he needs minutes to get him back to his best and we are running out of time before the mega crunch games come up and we all want a fully sharp and fit Cesc.

I think Arsene may well choose the latter option. It is likely that both Diaby and Song will be sacrificed. I suppose Diaby cannot play even if he wanted to as he is currently crocked. Poor guy.

I am doubley looking forward to the game on Saturday as I have club level tickets and I am yet to venture into that area, same for the Villareal game, so thank you Sam for sorting that out.

The deadly assassin Eduardo da Silva scored for Croatia in a 2-0 away victory against Andorra, which is good news. Bendtner came from the bench to feature for Denmark.

Fingers crossed that the Wednesday crew will return back fit and ready for some weekend action.

Thats about that for now, some more of that tomorrow.
