It wasn’t a long time back when Arsenal were struggling at 5th position and looking very likely to end another season without a trophy.Things have changed big time in the one month or so.We are back in the top 4(By no means satisfactory but it is better than being 5th).We have reached the quarterfinals of the UCL and also have semifinal clash against chelsea in the FA CUP.

The signing of Arshavin has made a big impact.He has given everyone a big lift and he is top quality.Also players returning from injury has made a significant difference.We look a lot more solid at back now.Wenger’s team selection also has been spot on.We seem to be more attack minded than we were a month back.I think Arsene has realised that waiting for the last 30 minutes to go all out is a risky tactic.

With players returning from injury it is very interesting to see what Wenger’s selection is going to be like.Who is his first choice to partner Fabregas in the midfield?Does he pick Adebayor or Bendtner?Does he stick with gibbs for the FA CUP?Lot of tough decisions for Wenger to make.

This would me my preferred team for the match against Villareal.

I have selected bendtner ahead of adebayor because i simply dont trust adebayor to work his socks off up front.One guarantee about bendtner is that he will give his all.Considering that it is an away match we will need a lot of that.Probably introduce Adebayor late in the game when there will be a lot tired legs out there.I really hope Wenger doesn’t get into a defesnive mode and start Eboue ahead of Theo.With Pires playing on the left hand side i expect walcott to get a lot of space to work with. It is going to be tight but i expect arsenal to come away with a 2-1 away win. Villareal are a good team but arsenal just have to much quality in them.

Against Chelsea in the FA CUP i would bring arshavin in for Van persie and Adebayor in for Bendtner.Song should replace denilson considering the fact that he can deal with the aerial threat better than denilson and we will be in for an aerial bombardment against chelsea.Wenger should stick to the same defense because inspite of his height i dont think Djourou will be able to handle Drogba.We should win this one as long as we handle Drogba and lampard’s deflected shots on goal.

I am not sure about UCL but i really feel we have a strong chance of winning the FA CUP.Arshavin is available for the FA CUP and he is going to make a big difference.I think this will be the season when finally our wait for a trophy will be over.You can probably imagine the uproar that is going to cause in the media.
