Early big match talk

What happened to their experience at the Emirates this season when we beat them. If experience was so important then Silvestre would be one of our best players. Talent is far more important

Hello all,

Big one tomorrow isn’t it? whoo, the nerves are already hitting me quite hard, A mixture of excitement and dirty underwear is pretty much how I feel right now.

I know we have all said this a thousand times already, and we knew before hand but isn’t it a shame that our little Russian magician cannot take part. If you play for one team before January then sign for another you can still play in the league for another team. What would be the difference? Anyway, it is not time for if’s or but’s (unless it is Beyonce’s of course)

We know how the team will set out and we know that Adebayor will be leading from the front of his own but I want to know who is playing behind Cesc and alongside Song. I will talk about that tomorrow in the pre match thoughts and predictions.

There are plenty comments from both sides about the upcoming game.

Patrice Evra said:

“It will be very tough, because it is two English teams and because Arsenal are very tough. But I am confident because we have more experience and that will show on Wednesday.

“I hope the fans will support us throughout the game because it is very important for us to put them under a lot of pressure. If we do that, I think we can have a lot of chances.”

I think the experience card is so overused. What happened to their experience at the Emirates this season when we beat them. If experience was so important then Silvestre would be one of our best players. Talent is far more important.

Abou Diaby said:

The first thing to say is that United are a great team. Whatever their form is like, they are still packed with great players who can make the difference at any time.

“However, they are not in their best form – maybe it’s an opportunity for us to make the most of it and profit from it.

“That’s not the main thing, though. We will concentrate on our game knowing that if we play we have a good chance.”

I guess now is as good a time to play Manchester United than ever, they are leaking goals and looking beatable. The only thing they do have is a secret weapon that no other team in England do, ok, perhaps Liverpool do. They have a magical 12th man that they can pull out when it is needed.

They showed that trick against the Spuds on the weekend, so we have to make sure we can beat 12 men instead of 11.

Kolo Toure said:

“I am used to it anyway, I have been here for seven years and I have played with 10 or maybe more different players.

“The good thing is that Johan is a really good and intelligent player. It’s a shame that Silvestre is injured.”

If I am being honest, then I am not so sure that it is much of a shame that he is injured or supposed to be injured.

Alex Hleb who was supposed to be one of our former players isn’t that bothered about who wins tomorrow out of us and Manchester United.

“Honestly, I don’t care, At the moment, I’m only thinking about the game against Chelsea.

“They are two very good teams but, as I said, it makes no difference to me who wins.”

I suppose it makes no difference if you are not playing against either team. He is probably more interested to know how cold it will be those evenings whilst sitting on the bench.

When you listen to the likes of Pires and Henry then someone like Hleb it makes you value the true greats.

Right, there is nothing else to talk about apart from tomorrow’s game so I am going to go. Good luck to Barca tonight, I want them to get to the final.

Don’t forget it is our time, we have to believe!
