Wenger stubborn? why should he listen to anyone else?

I am absolutely certain that I know much more about Arsenal than most football pundits and I would not want Wenger taking any advice for myself that’s for sure. The only advice I’d give to Wenger is to win as many games as possible

Not too long to go now and I thought I’d quickly write a few words down as I am sat on the train with my laptop still having some charge left in its battery which is normally quite rare at this time.

Looking at the Champions League matches from last night involving the English clubs I have to say that I was not expecting that result by Manchester United, especially with such an injury ravaged back line away from home. I am crossing my fingers that they continue to lose players and we begin to get ours back. Speaking of injuries, the super unbeatable Chelsea machine were held to a draw against [insert not very good CL team here] and Michael Essien has pulled the old hamstring, it cannot be coincidence that so many players are suffering at the same time amongst the top sides, I say the top sides because I do not know what the lower clubs injury positions are i.e. Spurs.

Onto the game this evening, I predicted that we would lose the game and a few readers have said that I should have faith in the youngsters. Listen, I have more than the average amount of faith going round confirmed by reading around other blogs. I think our kids are fantastic and they could have a great game today I just wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t quite have enough tonight, having said that, I do not know a great deal about our opponents this evening, so I am not in the best position to predict an outcome but that is what I have to do. I try and use my brain as apposed to my heart which I must say can be rather conflicting at times.

Can I share (another) pet hate of mine. It has really got on my nerves, especially when written by people who don’t support our club. I have read or heard that Arsene Wenger is a stubborn man and does not listen to others. He needs to start listening to the fans or pundits about our ‘problems’

Right, correct me if I am anyway incorrect here but I thought Arsene Wenger is our manager, who gets paid a decent amount of money to manage our playing side. Now this is a guess, probably because he has a wealth of experience in management. Not only this but he has proved to be a very successful manager who is wanted all around the globe. Why on earth should he change his Arsenal vision, his philosophy and his practices that have brought many trophies in the past because of the opinion of a player, former player etc etc

It is a little like myself walking into Nokia and telling them how to make a mobile phone or trying to teach a Tottenham supporter how to be deluded, or Phil Brown how to apply fake tan.

If we had a manager who listened to other people to do their jobs correctly then I would be very worried and would have pretty much no faith in that person.

I am absolutely certain that I know much more about Arsenal than most football pundits and I would not want Wenger taking any advice for myself that’s for sure. The only advice I’d give to Wenger is to win as many games as possible, scoring as much as possible whilst conceding very few. Any manager would do well with that helpful advice.

Right. with that I get ready to stick on some grub, get into my comfy clothes and watch my beloved Gunners.

Post match fun up tomorrow.
