Ramsey, Van Persie & New *random good player* Madness

I would have thought that Ramsey would have stayed at Arsenal where the medical staff could keep an eye on him and give him games here and there to make sure no harm is done to his leg. Perhaps Arsenal are certain that he is 100% and all he needs is match fitness. I am no medical expert but I thought that would come a little later but I guess not. However I am sure Arsene and Arsenal have spoken to Nottingham Forest and Billy boy in depth about his situation and what his limits are. The good news is that we get to watch him play more games than he would do at Arsenal at this stage. Couldn’t we have given them Jay Emmanuel-Thomas while we were at it?

Aaron Ramsey has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until January 3rd. Well I didn’t see that one coming I must say. Yesterday I said:

“If it means reserves and training until next season then so be it”

Instead Ramsey will be rubbing shoulders with Billy Davies’ squad. He is very familiar with that level as he played in the Championship for Cardiff before moving to Arsenal as a 17 year old. Ironically Nottingham Forest beat high flying Cardiff City on Saturday 2-0.

Speaking of strikers Arsene Wenger has been speaking about Robin Van Persie and said that he looks in good shape and should take part in tomorrow’s game against Aston Villa. He had been left out of the Braga game in midweek to work on his fitness. I now wonder if he is in line to start the game. His first start since we beat Blackburn away in August.

Chamakh started on the bench at Braga so I assume he would be in line to start tomorrow lunchtime. Wenger has a big call to make. Assuming that Nasri is moved back into the middle in place of Cesc, the right wing is another interesting choice that Wenger has to make but more on that in tomorrow’s morning preview.

Not much else going on really to talk about apart from Cesc’s hamstrings which I touched upon (not literally) yesterday so I won’t delve back into that again.

Before I go, I think it is amazing that in November, five of the eight Top Stories in the last 24 hours on Newsnow is made up transfer speculation. I find it astonishing that fake news is more in demand than actual real news.

*Makes note to self* Tomorrow’s headline must include the words ‘new, Messi & warchest’
