Friday Roundup / Gilberto may play after all

If Johan Djourou was not on loan you could bet that he would have played which makes me still feel like it

Good morning all,

Wenger has let us know the state of our squad after his dreaded International week.

William Gallas will not be ready to feature just yet, Eboue is still out injured and big Phill is suspended for pulling back Kanu at the Emirates. The good news is that we have Bacary Sagna back from injury and should slot back into his right back slot to take care of Gareth Bale.

Arsene said that Gilberto is an option alongside Toure which is a surprise to me as he normally rests Bert after a long flight, especially as he won’t of had much time to recover.
Wenger also mentioned Hoyte and Song as possible players who can play in the place of Gallas which I find a little unsettling to be honest. If Johan Djourou was not on loan you could bet that he would have played which makes me still feel like it was a mistake to let him go. Its very well giving him match practice until January but when we are putting out a weaker team until then, then it makes no sense.

Arsene Wenger has said he will not manage another club as he has everything he needs at Arsenal. Now that is what I like to hear. When you have players complaining like Ljungberg, Henry, Vieira, Petit etc it is nice to hear this from the most important figure at the club.
