One Last Lap and Midfield Combinations

Truthfully, Song-Ramsey-Rosicky won’t be my preferred choice largely because I don’t see Song and Ramsey doing the simplest of things. My preferred midfield 3 for WBA would be Coquelin sitting deep, Song doing the box to box duty and Rosicky playing as our attacking midfielder. There we have good protection at the back in Coquelin and Song helping out when on the back foot and Rosicky pressing at the heels of the opposition players + when attacking Rosicky and Song adding fluidity and creativity in the final 3rd

Hey there! I haven’t done this in like forever. Tied up with work and inspiration also has been kind of missing. I guess you all have been spot on in my absence even if I know I wasn’t missed. 🙁

Ok…. Ok!!! We are at the final lap, it all matters now. How we finish is in our hands! Doing it the right way can only be figured out by Wenger and implemented by the lads.

Wigan at home was where we would have secured 3rd, the debacle that day still lingers in my heart and hurts pretty bad. Norwich was another opportunity and we messed up again. Conceding 3 goals at home is unacceptable. Szczesny, Vermaelen, Song and Ramsey didn’t cover themselves in glory. They are a big part of the reason we dropped 2points.

Spurs failed to capitalise with our slip up therefore putting the 3rd place spot firmly in our hands. WBA away is a tough nut to crack and how we set-up our formation would be key to getting 3pts.

Our main problem right now is our midfield 3. Since Arteta exited we have found it difficult striking the right balance. Ramsey’s confidence is rock bottom thanks to our beloved fans, Song forgets he is a DM and thinks himself as Mr. Hollywood. Rosicky still remains our shining light in there.

Those 3 mentioned at the moment are our first choice and should work if they can pay attention to details.
1. Song must sit deep and only venture forward once in a blue moon meaning when there is a real chance to make an impact but if there isn’t – He should sit his ass down and shield our defence.
2. Ramsey must keep it simple, pass the ball, make himself available for a return pass and pass the ball again. No dilly dallying on the ball.
3. Rosicky should do Rosicky. It works handsomely for us.

I’m firmly of the believe that if  we get our midfield set-up right, then getting 3pts won’t be a tall order. Solidity is all we cry for and solidity comes from a solid midfield.

Song is sure to start on Sunday and he is key to how we perform. He is been massive for us all season largely because Arteta has been magnificent for us and helped out defensively. 3 games without Arteta and we have failed to pick up a win… Song I’m hoping remembers his defensive responsibility and also tone down his over the top Hollywood passes and do the simplest of things and keep the ball moving.

Sunday can’t come soon enough, I’m emotionally exhausted! Being a fan ain’t easy, this season proved just that.

One last lap… C’mon you rip roaring reds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
