But lets say Cesc for example had a slow start to the season and made mistakes that lead to opposition goals,
Good Morning all,
A few bits and pieces to chat about this morning.
Emmanuel Adebayor is back with a red cape for Togo after the dispute with his national team over pay is finally over.
“Today the controversy has been sorted out. I met the national coach (Stephen Keshi) in Lome,” he told France Football.
“My country needs me, and I need it.”
I don’t think it is ideal for us because obviously if he doesn’t play for his country then he stays at Arsenal during the ACN. Ah well, good luck Ade.
No matter what Cesc says the rumours of him going to Barcelona just won’t go away. This time it is his agent who is saying positive things about his clients former club.
“I have spoken to Cesc and we know nothing of the interest from Barca,” Diaz told Marca.
“If there is interest, hopefully, then they are a great team that plays the best football and Cesc was very happy there.
“Neither the player nor I have considered the news, and really the only thing that worries us now is the [Spain] game against Denmark. What comes will come.
“If interest arose from Barca then we would listen to it, it is the club that taught him a lot and he would be flattered.”
That really isn’t the kind of thing Arsenal supporters want to hear about our star player but you are going to get that with a player as good as Mr Fabregas.
Our good ol Mad Jens has been back in the media. He is confident of regaining his place back in the starting eleven.
“I know I will play for Arsenal again and think it may well be in our next game,” Lehmann told the Daily Mail.
“Maybe this break has been good for me. Maybe I needed it. I never like being out of the team, but look what happened last time.
“The manager left me out for a few weeks three years ago and when I got my place back, I ended up having the best season of my career.
“I feel ready to come back and play to the same level again. Playing is important, of course, but there is no substitute for quality.”
Very confident words from Jens as always. This is quite a tricky one really but think about this. Jens Lehmanns behaviour during this period hasn’t been right there is no getting away from it and Almunia has only conceded a few goals since he has been in the starting eleven. But lets say Cesc for example had a slow start to the season and made mistakes that lead to opposition goals, would you drop him and play Denilson even if he didn’t put a foot wrong? Even though you knew Fabregas was a better player. Almunia doesn’t fill me with alot of confidence and Jens (earlier mistakes aside) is the better keeper.
okie dokies, thats enough for today, have a good day boys and girls.
