Johan Djourou looking likely to make a permanent switch to Hamburg. I must say, I like Johan and thought he would have been a perfect back up for Mertesacker. Both are similar in style and provide a good balance to Koscielny
Hello dear Gooner,
I haven’t had the chance to scribble down anything of late, which I suppose is a good thing given the fact that there is pretty much zilch to talk about, well at least anything of any real substance.
Higuain has signed, had his medical, having his medical, yet to decide who to go to, staying at Madrid, Arsene the ‘ditherer’ is dithering. Walking back and forth in his office, phone in hand refusing the press the call button while Higuain is in his bedroom in Spain fighting off Manchester City offers but he is finding it increasingly difficult to resist any longer, face burning bright red whispering hopes that Arsene will call. Or some utter nonsense story like that. Maybe Arsene will give him a call to offer some football tips over at footballti.ps
This my friends, is the transfer window. A time where news is gold, so much so that a made up story is better than nothing whatsoever. How dare clubs try to negotiate deals, we should have a big brother style update but via Twitter. The via Twitter part is important because we can show how angry and upset we are. The key is to always be more upset than the last person you read, it makes you super Tweeter of the day.
I think I read too much stuff on Twitter in fact scrap that, I definitely read too much on there. It has become somewhat of an addiction which isn’t a surprise I guess when I have constant updated news, opinion, made up stories and chat about my number one addiction, the Arsenal.
Moving away from social media and back onto Arsenal. It seems as if the backdoor *ooh matron* continues to swing open with Johan Djourou looking likely to make a permanent switch to Hamburg. I must say, I like Johan and thought he would have been a perfect back up for Mertesacker. Both are similar in style and provide a good balance to Koscielny. In 2010/2011 both Koscielny and Djourou struck up a pretty good partnership and it was only Djourou’s shoulder injury that put a halt to that partnership. Anyway, it was not to be and best of luck to him.
It is clear that the club are doing all they can to let go of squad members who are unlikely to make it at the club. Arshavin, Denilson, Djourou, Squillaci and the likes of Bendtner and possibly Gervinho who may also be joining that list.
I wonder if we will be seeing more faces than we think coming into the club, that or Arsene thinks that many of his young players from the reserves are ready. Players like Serge Gnabry, Nico Yennaris and the like.
Whatever the case may be, I am looking forward to seeing how our squad takes shape before our kick off against Aston Villa in August. I will probably be trying to grab a good stream over at live-streaming-tv.net
Rumour has it that incomings are around the corner, I wouldn’t be too surprised if we had to wait until July 1st until we were able to view those signings on the official website. So I would suggest downing a couple of those chill pills with a cold glass of water and, well chill.
’till the next time.
