A lil' more Patience, it'll come

The transfer window is upon us again, we have seen our rivals spend big, better their squad and we are left with only one signing, a signing our fans hardly acknowledge. Well, he is young, what can he offer to better our chances in the league? I get the angle our fans are coming from, we as fans haven’t seen triumph since the year 2005, when we beat UTD in the FA Cup final via penalties. We want that back but in wanting that back we throw ‘common sense’ out the window, me included. We have gone in for Higuain, reportedly agreed a deal with said player, agreed a fee with Madrid and then just when you think the overall deal will click, Madrid go on to shift goal-posts and ask for more. Dick Law, Ivan Gazidis and Arsene Wenger have been bashed

Hello there, the weekend is over and the struggle to make ends meet continues, the circle of life it seems. No resting on your laurels.

There’s a point in life when you look back at the decisions you have made and tell yourself, these are the decisions that have brought me to this point and you become thankful because you are in a better place. Well, we can be thankful for having Arsene in as much as the past 8 years haven’t been filled with glory but still I can hit my chest and say I like where we are now as opposed to winning trophies and still having a bleak future.

Years ago, Arsene made a decision to cut cost so as to enable us build a magnificent stadia. This dented the opportunity for us to compete against the big boys. We went with young, we went with inexperience yet we secured that coveted CL spot every time.

Arsene is no man without faults but we must be thankful for having him at the helm, another manager would have sunk us into more trouble but as a man, a manager he has put himself down to be flogged, taken it in his stride and continued to do the do, the do which has helped us clean out debts and put us in a very healthy position.

Dick Law, Ivan Gazidis and Arsene Wenger have been bashed to no end. I ask, how is this any of their fault?

This is no fantasy, where you go into the market, making signings like it is going out of fashion. We are no City, we are no PSG or Monaco where spending billions doesn’t rattle them in the long run. We must negotiate and if it doesn’t tickle us incredibly we chill and look for another alternative.

Twitter has really made transfers tedious. We get linked to a certain player this minute, we get excited the next minute and want him signed a couple of minutes later. When it fails even though we were not in for that player, accusing fingers are pointed and then the curses start flooding in. Why So?

Signings I’m certain will come, it isn’t rocket science knowing what a couple of new signings will do. Our players Arteta, Jack and Podolski have come out to say they want new signings, none are afraid to compete for places in the squad which is a good thing. Arsene I’m sure is working, same as Gazidis… All we need is a little bit of patience and surely, in the end we shall all smile
