Tottenham (h) Thoughts & Line Up: Continuity vs New players, who will come out on top?

Both clubs have operated in the transfer market at different ends of the spectrum this summer and I am sure both clubs will be hoping that they will gain the advantage from the squads they have. While Tottenham will be showing off new faces, I cannot help but feel that our continuity of squad will give us the edge, that could well be wishful thinking but I remember this time last season when we drew to Sunderland and Stoke City and we lacked attacking cohesion, I haven’t watched the Tottenham games so far but two 1-0 results

Huge game today for both teams, it is certainly time to put all transfer talk to one side and focus on what this game is ultimately about, on the pitch. While our squad has been hampered by injury and lack of numbers, our first team is strong and in recent games they have shown the quality they possess.

Since the Aston Villa game, we have looked a far more fluid side than this time last season and I hope for a high tempo game so we can show that.

What will be very interesting is how both teams approach the game, this is almost as important as the personnel on the pitch. A friend of mine who (for his sins) is a Tottenham fan said that they have pressed from the front and held a high line, would they dare try that at the Emirates today? Will we play a more counter attacking game at home to erm counter that? Will we press high up and pin them back? Which midfield will come out on top? Lots of interesting questions before the game, looking forward to getting some answers.

Should be a good game. I have to go out before the game so will end prematurely.

Fingers crossed for much needed 3 Arsenal points.
