At the moment Cesc Fabregas is Just Fabulous, but he is only 20 years old. I want to see an experienced 26 year old Cesc playing at Arsenal football club

Happy morning to you all,

Firstly I want talk about the quotes that are likely to make all Arsenal fans sigh and smile at the same time. Cesc Fabregas was quoted saying

For me, I hope to stay here [Arsenal] for all my life but in football you never know and Man United I like.

“At the moment I am very happy here and to be here. In three years they might not want me here and you have to change [clubs]. At the moment I’m very happy here and I don’t see the point of moving.”

We all know that it is very difficult to take what a footballer says at face value, as I am sure I heard Thierry Henry say that he waned to stay at Arsenal for the rest of his career but it is nice to hear positive things being said about the club and not just talk of Barcelona or Real Madrid.

At the moment Cesc Fabregas is Just Fabulous, but he is only 20 years old. I want to see an experienced 26 year old Cesc playing at Arsenal football club. I suppose his future his linked to Arsene’s. ooh gosh, I can’t think about that, that just scares me. The thought of Wenger and Fabregas leaving is worse than a nightmare.

Moving swiftly on. Roy Keane has said that Cesc Fabregas is not on Paul Scholes’ level at the moment.

He has the potential to be as good as Paul Scholes, but not yet.

“To compare him to Paul Scholes you are talking about a top, top player who has done it over 12, 13, 14 years.

“Of course. he is at the perfect club and he has the perfect manager. He has a lot of experience for a young lad, I have to say that.

Now, I am certainly not comparing both players careers so far because there can only be one winner but as a player, I can’t imagine that Paul Scholes has ever been playing better football than Cesc Fabregas is playing right now. I am very pleased that Scholes misses the match today because he is the one player who links midfield and attack together as Cesc does for us.

Gael Clichy has spoken about the advice he received on how to stop Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Before we played at Manchester United last year, William Gallas came up to me before kick-off and told me how we were going to snuff Ronaldo out of the game.

“Gallas is a monster as a footballer and is an old friend so I listened to him.

“It’s a proud memory of mine that long before the end of the game Ronaldo had switched wings.

I think this will be one of the most important individual battles of the match. Clichy stopped him playing last year and will have to be at his very best to do so again. I think he will need the help of Rosicky (should he start on the left wing)

This really has all the makings of a fantastic match, I think the last time I felt butterflies the evening before a match was probably the final in the Champions League against Barca. Manchester United won’t be afraid of us, probably the only team to come to the Emirates this season and not be beaten mentally before the match kicks off. They will attack and defend as a team but so will we. The days of the team choosing which matches to be up for have gone. We fight for the right to play our football every game wether its Sheffield United or Manchester United.

The ugly battles between Arsenal and Manchester United are probably a thing of the past. Keane, Vieira, Butt, Sheringham, Keown, Van Nistelrooy have all moved on or retired and they have all been replaced by wonderful technicians. Ronaldo vs Clichy, Rooney vs Toure, Hleb vs Hargreaves, Adebayor vs Ferdinand. The list goes on.

I just hope we can win our battles and send a statement of intent throughout world football. Wouldn’t 4-0 be nice? 😀

COME ON YOU RIP ROARING REDDDSSS!!!!
