Arsenal do not play without Cesc and Hleb

What I feel a bit let down about is the quality of our football since the first 45 minutes against Aston Villa. Our passing has become very sloppy

2 away matches, 1 win 1 draw. 4 points out of 6 and still unbeaten. Should I be happy? Yes, I should. Am I happy? Not really.

It could have been alot worse for us had Carew’s header went in off the bar and if Newcastle managed to find another goal when they were on top in the second half.

What I feel a bit let down about is the quality of our football since the first 45 minutes against Aston Villa. Our passing has become very sloppy and disjointed. Yes both opposition teams have tried their utmost to make it difficult for us when we have the ball. But it seems like we have forgotten the basics and have started playing too many longer passes that were not working.

A few things I have found out about Arsenal in the last two games.

Arsenal do not play the same high level of football without Cesc and Hleb

Tomas Rosicky cannot play at his best level without Cesc and Hleb

Eduardo is never ever (ever) a left winger

Flamini is now the most underrated midfield player in the top 4

The bad news is that none of the injured 4 (Cesc, Hleb, Van Persie and Flamini) will be available for the Middlesborough clash on Sunday.

Arsene has got to use Bendtner as the link man and keep Rosicky on the left until our players are back, but as we know Arsene doesn’t want to use Adebayor and Bendtner in attack.

A positive from the game was Adebayor’s goal, very well taken. It was also a fantastic cross from Eboue who I notice was chief corner kick taker these days. Bendtner would thrive off Eboue’s speedy curving crosses

Adebayor has been working hard at the gym to cope with the demands of English football.

“I needed to do something. I needed to build up my muscles to take the blows. You have to in England,” he said in the Daily Mirror.

“When I got going, I was a lot more powerful. There is no comparison with before. Here, you don’t take creatine, only vitamins to recuperate. But we work twice as much.

“I had to progress. I used to take two metres to control the ball. But now the fans are seeing a new Adebayor.”

Tresor Mputu could well be an Arsenal player next Monday. Mputu’s agent Bajo Bujani seems to think it will be a done deal.

“While Sevilla have also shown great interest, I believe Tresor will end up in England,” Bujani told Kick Off.

“Arsenal have given TP Mazembe until Monday to respond to their offer and I’m convinced that a deal will be completed after the weekend.”

Thats about the size of it for today. Until tomorrow.
