Good morning evening to you,

This was supposed to be a morning/early afternoon entry but that just did not materialise for many reasons, one of them is because I am currently spending what seems to be 95% of my week coughing and spluttering all over the place and it really really is no fun whatsoever.

ok, back to the fun stuff. Kolo Toure has heaped praise on our captain and leader William Gallas.

“When you are playing to win trophies it has to be a collective thing,” said Toure. “But in any team you have a maestro and William is doing that really well.

“He is the captain and you can see how he leads the team. With all the experience he’s got, because he’s 30, played in a lot of things and won a lot of trophies, now he is using that to help us get what we want. We all have to listen to him. He is the captain.

“We all try to help each other. We are all human, at times in a game we will be tired or struggling a bit, and that’s when you need your friends to talk to you, to say ‘come on’, ‘we want to make it’. We all say that but especially William.

“Having that spirit in the team and the squad is a big thing. You can always lose your focus for one minute in a game and that’s when you need your friends to be there for you, to shout at you.

There obviously is a difference in our sprit this season and William Gallas could well be a big part of that. Alot of people were very upset when Gilberto was overlooked but Arsene obviously knew something that alot of people didn’t.

Next up we face Boro away (again) and unfortunately we have none of our injured players back which is a massive blow if we lose, it wouldn’t be bad if we win though. There is a lesson on how to state the obvious, it takes many years of practice.

I cannot believe that I will be missing the match, and I have no excuse to use for it this time. It is my little brothers birthday and we are going out to eat. Why can’t everybody just be born on Thursday? It would be unlucky for Spurs fans who love channel 5 but it makes sense.

Arsene Wenger has stated that Jens Lehmann has a future at Arsenal. Maybe Arsene was very drunk at the time, it really isn’t right for reporters to follow Arsene to the pub.

“At the moment I do not want to speculate on any movement in the transfer window. We want to focus on our games and Jens is part of that.”

Speaking of Jens, German rival Oliver Khan has said that Lehmann will have to leave Arsenal in order to win his place back in the national side.

“Jens Lehmann’s services to the national team have been impeccable, but you can’t play in a European Championship when you are not in the team,” Bayern Munich keeper Khan told DSF.

“That’s why it would be best for him to go and play where he will be in the team.”

Arsene Wenger has said that he thinks Tresor Mputu could be a long term investment rather than a short term fix.

“He [Mputu] has qualities, but he has never played in Europe,” said Wenger at his pre-match press conference. “In the middle of a season, to buy a guy from Congo and think he will give you something more is a little bit optimistic.

“Maybe we’ll pursue it, but it will be on a six to seven-month plan, you know, you get the guy in to adapt, and then we’ll see how well he does.”

That kinda reminds me of when we signed Kolo Toure, Arsene said we will not see him until the new season because he has just come to English football and needs to adjust to the Premier league. If ‘Puts’ has anything like the impact that Kolo has had then we would have signed a real star.

Right, that’s it from me. Better late than never ey? no? well tuff! I am off to blow my nose and cough some more.
