I am really excited about grand slam Sunday as Sky have hyperly put it but it is not vital to winning the league

Good morning to you,

Firstly I would like to let you know that I am alive and haven’t been abducted by Ashley Cole’s gang of Mobile abusers, that would be very bad.
A mixture of illness and being hung over is the reason for my absence. Being ill while you’re hung over is acceptable but it shouldn’t happen the other way round which it did for me. There are not alot of things worse than having an empty stomach and still proceeding to be sick about 5 times afterwards, ow the pain. As I always say after a day like that… NEVER AGAIN!..until the next time of course.

Anyway, this is not the sickness blog.

I am really excited about grand slam Sunday as Sky have hyperly put it but it is not vital to winning the league. What it could bring to anyone of the four teams is confidence. Confidence is one of the most important ingredients in football, I think it is sometimes underrated.

Our victory against Steaua would have helped mentally after two poor away performances. The return of our key players will be the greatest boost.

Sky Sports have announced that the line up is likely to be:

Almunia
Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy
Eboue Cesc Flamini Rosicky
Van Persie
Adebayor

Which would be a very good team of course but I miss Alex Hleb. Hleb is the only player who can open the game in a different way. It is nice to have his ability to run and players and take opposition players out of the game alongside our passing game. Hleb will replace Van Persie or Rosicky during the second half if he doesn’t start the game.

Drogba and Essien out for Chelsea is massive. If you asked me before the game which two players I would choose to remove from the Chelsea team before clash I would have chosen those two out of those missing and Terry. This is why I think we will have too much for them. Arsene would have had enough time to get our players fine tuned. Our passing in the first half against Steaua was good and I think the quality in pass and move would have increased with Cesc and Van Persie back in the set up.

I will be heading down to Clapham Junction to watch both games with an always optimistic Gooner pal of mine. I think Manchester United have more quality than Liverpool but Anfield is a big bonus for Liverpool. It really can go either way. I am going to sit on the electric fence and go for a score draw. Ronaldo to go quiet and Tevez and Torres to star for their respective sides.

As I said earlier, I think we will have too much for Chelsea today, they have not come up against a team with the passing quality of us so I think we will beat them.

Prediction: Arsenal 2 Chelsea 0 (My 6 year old daughter has just thrown that result at me so I will go for that as well) Adebayor and Van Persie to grab goals, Rosicky to be thorn in Chelsea’s side.
