Lassana Diarra could well have performed a shop window display last night, he was fantastic and ran the midfield
Now that is what I call a natural finisher. Two very well taken goals from Eduardo Da Silva showed why he must be the best finisher at the club. I cannot remember him missing many goal scoring chances in all his time in his short Arsenal career so far. Once he develops his all round play in our side and gets used to the demands of Premier league football then we will see a very good goalscorer.
What we do know is that adapted or not Eddie is Lethal.
Last night gave us Gooners plenty of plus points to take from Ewood park. I will take my hat and season it with garlic and onions and sprinkle some pepper over it because Alex Song is showing that he has alot of good qualities including driving forward with the ball. Alot of people will know that he hasn’t been my cup of tea in the past but I now can see why Arsene has showed the faith.
Lassana Diarra could well have performed a shop window display last night, he was fantastic and ran the midfield completely. Robbie Savage did not get a kick thanks to the combative and creative wantaway midfielder.
I hope Arsene Wenger can sit down with Diarra and talk some sense to the lad because as much as I rate Flamini I still think Diarra would be a better longer term option alongside Cesc.
Our defensive display was not at its best but the team showed alot of desire to win the game. The draw will take place after Chelsea beat Liverpool by 2 goals.
Mark Hughes attempted to make his players feel better by saying that our players are not kids and that they cost more than Blackburn Rovers can afford. Which of course is a load of rubbish and it made me pretty annoyed at the time.
Everyone is expecting us to be draw against Tottenham once again and that would probably be the easiest of the draws so I would be happy with that. Infact this week is the week for the draw. Friday is the champions league draw and it is going to be very exciting. I hope we do get Barcelona because we can beat them. I don’t want to face Inter Milan who are on a great run of form. AC Milan’s old boys may find our youthful vibrance hard to cope with as Juventus did a few years ago.
Anyways, that is enough for today. Back tomorrow.
