It doesn’t feel like Friday today, the Christmas period has thrown me somewhat. Being Friday today means that it is football tomorrow and we take on in form Everton at Goodison Park. This is a game that I have been dreading since viewing the fixtures for December. I am not normally pessimistic when it comes to Arsenal but this is a game that has come at the wrong time for us. If we had this fixture a few months ago then I would be confident but our recent performances suggest to me that we will lose our second game of the season unless we step things up. We need better performances from Cesc and Hleb and we need Senderos NOT to make a stupid mistake.. Jeez! I have a problem with Senderos not being in the team for a while and then returning to the first team.William Gallas is definitely out tomorrow as is Van Persie.

What is it with Van Persie and long term injuries?? It is getting a bit silly now. We kinda need him now, we have probably missed about 10 goals from him so far.

Hopefully le Boss will freshen things up a little as we have played alot of football in the last few weeks. I will be amazed if Bendtner does not get the start that he deserves. It is clear that he is making a massive difference whenever he comes on. He has done from the start of the season to be honest. It is time to unleash the great Dane.

I can just see Moyes instructing his side to defend deep and not allow us any room to pass. We will start the game off slowly as we have done lately and not really show much desire to get a goal until later into the second half which will be too late. Everton will create chances on the counter attack and from set pieces and will nick a goal from Cahill or Johnson and the game will finish 1-0

If we are to win we will need to up our urgency and show hunger from the start, we also need to support the front man earlier during the game and not just in the last 15 minutes. Van Persie came off the bench against Chelsea and made a massive difference to the side. We had alot more presence in the final third.

Real Madrid are back to their old tricks again. They have been spouting out some more bollocks about Cesc wanting to join them. But Cesc’s agent has come out and said that Cesc is happy and loves the club. Doesn’t that just make the Spanish club look like idiots? What gain do they get from saying stupid stuff like that? Maybe we should be doing the same to Robinho.

Just because Steve Bruce has left Birmingham doesn’t mean that he hasn’t stopped having a cheeky eye on our players. Apparently the Wigan boss is looking to take Armand Traore on loan according to the Mirror. I think it would be a great chance for first team football for him if we had better cover in at left back. Gallas no longer will play there and Flamini is now our first choice holding midfielder so it doesn’t give us many options. I still would like to see him in the left wing position eventually.

Oh before I go, can someone tell me why Adebayor doesn’t quite get the whole offside rule thingy? baffling!
