Growing up in a land far away from England, i have always wondered what exactly made me love Arsenal FC. I guess the answer is simply because the team’s management has a big room for young talent identification and development. What Arsene Wenger and team are doing is worth applauding.

At the commencement of the season, few people gave the youhful side any chance, but it turned out the most prophets of doom have been proven wrong. Not only is the team tearing others apart, but it seems everyone is now envious of it. The lads play with great passion and if their style of play was poetry or music then it should have been copyrighted.

I also wish to applaud the decision by Le Boss, Monsieur Wenger to give the captaincy of this Titanic team to William Gallas, who has shone like a beacon guiding the team from success to success. May I also salute Gilberto Silva for his acceptance of Wenger’s decision. I urge him to remain steadfast knowing that the team still needs older guys like him to give it confidence and gritty.

Finally, I wish every Gunner a prosperous 2008 as we once again go guns blazing towards winning the Championship accolade. Remember all you Arsenal fans, it is the mark of true championship to be at the pole position even when those following doubt you. The end result is, soon their comments will become irrelevant when the Championship is one by the Gunners. In all honest I think Wenger and company need to be treated with respect. We are going for goals and we gooner win it all…
