Hello there once again,

I am running on auto pilot today, I went to bed at stupid o’clock this morning all because of Football Manager 2008, oh my gosh, I am back to when I was 15 years old. I haven’t played any of the Championship managers or football managers since I had it on my Amiga 500, do you remember those? The young generation will not know what I am on about but hey, that is how fast life moves. I am tempted to start talking about my management experience with Torquay but I will probably bore you so much that you will rather go to Tribalfootball.com so I won’t go there. Stupidly addictive game though.

Back into the real world, Robin Van Persie is ruled out with flu for the up and coming clash against Birmingham. Flu? I thought his knee/thigh or whatever was broken. And Senderos is going to have a fitness check ahead of the game. Tell me this?.. Why is it that when one of our players has a blocked nose and a little bit of sneezing do we rule them out for 3 months (and that is just to start with) but when Senderos has both legs amputated do we give him a fitness check a few days later? Weird.

If Senderos misses out then it will probably be Gilberto which I guess is ok against Birmingham at home but does not fill me with alot of confidence away from home against a decent side.

The Lehmann and Diarra transfers are not any clearer as yet, so I will wait for something to be more concrete before I make any comments about the duo.

You have to give credit to Gilberto’s attitude, he has said that he wants to fight for his place and is not looking for a move. If only a certain young French midfielder would do the same.

It is a shame that he is looking no way near the player that dragged us through alot of last season. I guess all good things come to an end.

It looks like Anelka has made his switch to Chelsea. He and Drogba sounds like potentially a good partnership. Chelsea are not by any means out of the title race so we have to keep an eye on them.

I have made a temporary fix to the YourVision page It is not as snazzy as it will be but I am still waiting for the site designer to get on ze case.

Til tomorrow.
