Arrgh! What is up with Robin?

Robin Van Persie is taking the piss. What on earth is going on with him? ok, maybe it is not his fault as such but can one player get injured so damn frequently?

I am not even going to greet you today. Why? I hear you asking Because I am fed up! Why? you ask again. Because Robin Van Persie is taking the piss. What on earth is going on with him? ok, maybe it is not his fault as such but can one player get injured so damn frequently? I thought players get injured in the first place by playing football. You know, you run around so much that a part of the body gives way and then you need to rest to build that area back up again. How much football has Van Persie played in the last two years? Not even a full bloody season. Robin is 24 (I think, without researching) and he has not completed a full season for us. Why couldn’t this happen to Senderos instead? Sorry Phil but I gotta choose someone.

Just like last season, Robin waits until he is on fire and scoring goals left right and center before getting injured. Who knows, had Van Persie been fit all season then we may not even be in our position we may have had less points for whatever reason but you cannot help thinking that we are missing his goals, his threat.

After missing the Birmingham match last weekend with Flu (Why are you the only person in the world to have flu at the moment?) he is now our for a further two weeks with a thigh strain. How do you get a thigh strain whilst having flu in the first place?

I hope this is not some sort of smokescreen from Arsene, I hope he is not trying to cover up some sort of fall out because that would not be good. I think I would rather the injuries than him leaving. Sorry, that is just the pessimistic side of me coming out.

Getting into tomorrows game, I am feeling very confident about the game. I think we will get back to our fluent attacking passing. The reason for this is the full week preparation and the draw against Birmingham. Arsene will have had the time to correct the problems in the previous game and I am sure he was not impressed by the teams complacency.

At least we have Tomas Rosicky available from injury and I have the feeling that he will be an important player in the match. Tomas Rosicky usually takes a few games to find his best form but I can imagine him cutting in from left to center with the ball at his feet slipping in Adebayor. I think the Czech International will mark his comback with a goal.

Our passing is going to have to be quicker and sharper with both fullbacks providing the width a little further forward. In recent weeks I have noticed that Clichy and more so Sagna have not been getting in the final third enough to make a difference to our attacking play, perhaps this is because Arsene now has two strikers or maybe it is because the team are not as flowing going forward.

I was thinking about the players who have left the club in recent times and there are a number of good players still lurking around the Premiership. What do you think of this as a team? They would probably finish higher than Spurs at least.
