We have played 39 games this season (league, all cups, and in Europe) and we’ve lost 3 games (Middlesbrough, Seville, and the scum) but I fink it would have been a lot more if it wasn’t for the players I’m going to talk about. Ade’s goals with Cesc’s passes links with Flamini’s cleaning up, have stormed us to the top of the league, last 16 of Europe, 5th round of Fa cup and to the semis of carling.

1st of all ADEBAYOR, its almost as if the slating he’s taken has really been a wake up call for him and he cant stop scoring, volleys, slotting them in, taking on half a team and something we haven’t had for a while…headers. Some of his individual goals have been phenomenal, the goals he scored at white hart lane this season were awesome and I don’t like to talk about TiTi but I do see him in adebayor, his class, his touch and the pace and strength he has, do resemble the great man that served us so well for eight amazing years. He has become so comfortable with the team, he feels wanted and needed, now giving him that boost in confidence and mental ability. The coolness in which he slotted his goals and against derby earlier this season was so pleasing for all us Gooners out there watching him and the skill we have seen from him against almost every team this season gives us that sense that with him in the team we will score no matter what or how the rest of us play. His volleys against spurs and Newcastle (both in away games I might add, down to confidence) have separated him from all other strikers in the premiership this season. I’m not sure what else I can say about the Togo giant we have up front but I can say that he has become one of the most deadly strikers we have in England and maybe even in Europe and not forgetting he has in my eyes has filled the boots of TiTi, well maybe he’s a size smaller and I think at lot of us haven’t even noticed Robin has been out pretty much all season, he’s played 13 games in all comps and he’s scored 7 goals in all, which is not just a slight burst in form I reckon that would have lasted all season so Ade has done brilliantly to take over the front line AAA-DEE-BAY-ORR!! GIVE HIM THE BALL AND HE WILL SCORE! But who thought he’d score 17 goals in the league!

Now Flamini, what to say about the improvement of this 23 year old French man. Ok only 3 goals but important goals and a couple of stunners too. His calm but still rough challenges win us the ball in every game and help us dominate the midfield at home and away this season. The partnership developed between him and Cesc has become the needed ingredient between defence, midfield and of course, our goal scoring phenomenon Ade. Strength and persistence are what he has added to his game this season and once he uses those abilities he even has the calmness to turn a midfield man inside out and slot a ball out to the wing or our strikers. He is nicknamed ‘Gattuso’ in the changing rooms but I don’t think that does him justice he is just ‘Mathieu Flamini’. I saw his goal against Villa, how important that proved to be and against Newcastle, what can I say about that, unstoppable rocket I felt sorry for two thing when he struck that shot, the ball and the net. I’m not sure what else he can add to his game, goals perhaps but we have enough players doing that job. All I can think of is the ability to do the same next season, he’s been consistent this season but he’s only 23 so young but so capable.

Fabregas has the ‘Cesc Appeal’ that’s what the papers have been saying about the young Spaniard and I agree. He really has become the soul of the team if its not his goals or his assists or even his arrogant strut off the pitch when he was subbed against Everton, whatever he does, its for the team. He’s scored 7 goals for us this season in the league and 4 in Europe, no one will forget that night against Slavia, his two goals were brilliant and the goal against spurs was just what we’ve wanted to see from him. Now I admit his goals have dried up, but people haven’t noticed the little moments when he finds space and just plays the simplest but very important pass. I think we’d all agree that he has become the best central midfielder in the premiership and Wenger comparing him to Platini earlier this season was nothing over flattering for the 20 year old. Another 8-10 years of that kid, he will be as good as anyone who kicks a football on any pitch in the world. He lacks a bit of speed when he bursts through the midfield but who really cares we’ve got pace all over the pitch with Hleb, Clichy, Ade and Theo of course. Without him I don’t think our midfield would work, don’t get me wrong Denilson is a great player but I don’t feel as comfortable when he has the ball as I do when Cesc has it at his miracle working feet. WE’VE GOT CESC FABREGAS!!!!!!!!!!!
