Great news that Abou Diaby has signed a new deal that keeps him at Arsenal until 2012. I feel sorry for him in some ways, it is clear that attacking/creative central midfield

Good afternoon Gooners,

Appologies for the site problems yesterday, this has happened a little frequently as far as I am concerned. I think the site has outgrown the server so it could well be time for a change.

I was hoping that Portsmouth could have fought a little harder to get something from the match last night but once again Ronaldo has scored the goals to give them another win. His goalscoring record over the last two matches is absurd. The guy is supposed to be a winger and has played there for most of the season. It is almost like an 18 year old playing against 11 year olds. I think it is time for someone to give him an almighty kick. Not that I advocate violence, well not unless your name is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Where are all the people who said that Liverpool would win the league this year? I haven’t heard from them for quite while now. I thought they had a wonderful squad and Torres was the player to score the goals that would win them the league? hmmmm. Like I say, at least his squad are fit due to the magic rotation system.

Theo Walcott has confirmed that he wants stay at Arsenal and learn from the quality players at the club instead of going on loan elsewhere.

“I don’t think there’s a reason for me to go on loan,” he told the Daily Mail. “I want to push myself every day here at Arsenal and try and get in the first team as often as I can and play well when I’m in the team.

“And with respect to other clubs, I train here with some of the best players in the world and that’s not going to happen at other places. My game is obviously going to benefit the most from being around these players.”

So the transfer window closes today, there will be alot of phone calls and faxes going around the country but I expect our phone to be switched off. But hey, you never know. I didn’t expect Diarra to join the club so there is always hope although we don’t really NEED signings right now.

Great news that Abou Diaby has signed a new deal that keeps him at Arsenal until 2012. I feel sorry for him in some ways, it is clear that attacking/creative central midfield is his best position but he is being pushed out to the left because he can’t and won’t get in ahead of Cesc Fabregas. When Arsene decides to rest Cesc or the Spaniard gets injured then Diaby should take his place alongside Flamini in the heart of midfield.

Good luck to Luke Freeman who has signed his Arsenal contract at long last. He is only 15 years old so if he is good enough then we may see him in 2-3 years time.

Thats enough from me, but you can always submit your own article on the Your Vision section. The latest one is The Three Kings by Mike.

Back again tomorrow
