It seems like all the Arsenal news is currently about a certain Emmanuel Adebayor. According to Myles Palmer of ANR Real Madrid and AC Milan are interested in Adebayor. I think other clubs don’t even bother looking around the transfer market. They just have scouts at every Arsenal match and try and buy our players once they start playing well.

Hopefully our players realise that it cannot get much better at a football club at a time like this. Obviously you are going to get impatient players who are not playing as often as they want to i.e. Diarra but on the whole you would be mad to leave Arsenal football club right now.

Carlos Vela played last night for Osasuna against Barcelona and failed to make much of an impression. To be honest Barcelona had a massive percentage of the possession so you cannot expect him to do very much unless he had a break which he didn’t.

It will be interesting to see what happens when he joins Arsenal. It is unlikely that Arsene will deploy him as a forward with Adebayor, Van Persie, Eduardo, Bendtner and Theo all vying for a striking position.

So maybe he will be used as an impact winger from the bench. Rosicky will have to stay fit to keep his place if Vela can live up to his potential.

Next up is Blackburn Rovers at home who have won 1 in the last 5 matches but they always raise their game against us so we cannot take anything for granted. Manchester United will beat Manchester City at Old Trafford, so we will have to match them.
