Arsene instructed the team to do the opposite against Manchester United. He would have told the players not to risk going into strong tackles
Its amazing how technology has changed over the years, I was umming and arring about playing football tonight and watching Inter vs Liverpool and I went for football as I now have sky sports on my mobile phone. Who would have thought it a few years ago.
We are being hit with some good news ahead of tomorrows clash against Ac Milan.
It looks like William Gallas is going to be cleared of a ban for kicking Nani.
An FA spokesman said:‘Having viewed the footage, the referee was not satisfied that it showed evidence of violent conduct and therefore no further action will be taken.’
Well that is a relief isn’t it? I am always shocked when the FA do not jump at the opportunity to punish us to give Manchester United an advantage. Are we just being paranoid?
William Gallas has urged the troops to have a little more fight away from home.
“When you play against teams like Manchester United or Tottenham we have to be ready for the fight, and all the games that we have lost, we weren’t ready. I’m sorry but we just weren’t ready,” Gallas said. “We have to change our mentality. When we are on the pitch we have to fight before we can play good football.
What he says makes alot of sense and it is the case but surely Arsene instructed the team to do the opposite against Manchester United. He would have told the players not to risk going into strong tackles (tackles full stop from what I saw)
Arsene Wenger has always been obsessed with the condition of his players, that is why you hardly ever see Arsenal play at full tilt for 90 minutes. With our squad lacking in numbers right now Arsenes only concern was not to lose anymore players. Anyway, I am done talking about that match. Its all about Ac Milan, that was always the game.
The second good piece of news has come from Spanish Maestro Cesc Fabregas. He has committed his future at the club for life.
“I am very happy, everything is going well, I have got friends in the club,” the 20-year-old told CNN.
“I like the life and I am comfortable with the fans. If they don’t want me here, then of course I would like to go back to Spain.
“But if the club wants me and the boss thinks I still can give a lot to the club, then I will stay here.
“I will be here for as long as they want me.”
Of course that is good to hear but excuse me for being a tad cynical but it could well be something to do with new contract talks. I have heard the likes of Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira before him say the same type of things but we know how fast football changes, especially if a certain Monsieur Wenger leaves.
As long as we get the best out of him for while we have him then things can only be positive.
Cesc has now been appointed as chief transfer scout. He has set his eyes firmly on Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o.
Cesc said:“If I was asked which one player I would like to see at Arsenal, it would be Samuel Eto’o.
“Eto’o is a phenomenal striker, he’s ambitious, he runs, he works for the team, he scores well and he’s a real winner. I would love to have him on my team.”
Arsene Wenger has been attempting to remove some pressure from his Arsenal team but declaring that Ac Milan are favourites to go through.
“We are underdogs, by a little bit,” said the Arsenal manager on the club’s official website. “They have the experience and won it last year. We are an upcoming team, so it is a big challenge against the holders of the trophy.
“For me we have the toughest draw of the English teams. And this game will define whether or not we can win The Champions League.
Right, thats yer lot from me for now. Back again tomorrow.
Until tomorrow.
