First in the Premier League against last seasons Champions League winners and we still only manage Sky Sports 2. Mighty giants Lyon against second placed Manchester United have the honour of being on Sky Sports 1.

Anyway, I am being picky. I am in a picky mood this morning. I am sick, sick with the lack of sleep disease. It won’t get me down though, we have a tasty match to look forward to tonight. I am truly excited and looking forward to this one.

Who said playing at home first is a disadvantage? Liverpool are certain favourites to go through now. I have always said that the first game is so important home or away. If you are strong at home then you have a good chance to kill the tie before it starts.

Not many teams come to Arsenal and try to compete technically and it is a refreshing change when a team does. It makes for an interesting skeptical.

Ac Milan are a very experienced side with alot of quality. They would have done their homework on us as every team does in this day and age. Milan will come and be very organised, they will try and fill in the gaps they will want to disrupt our one touch passing and play on the counter attack.

Kaka will be the obvious threat but we have to stop Pirlo getting on the ball and dictating the play. Pirlo is Milan’s Fabregas. His passing alongside Seedorf in the middle of the pitch. Milan like Arsenal are a narrow team who pass through the middle of the pitch with Kaka the main orchestrator. Flamini will have to at his best to help stop the talented Brazilian.

Gilberto and Flamni in the middle of midfield leaves the team short or creativity. Cesc out on the right leaves the team unbalanced. I would rather Eboue on the right with Cesc and Flamini in the middle with Hleb on the left.

It should be a game of very good quality and I am hoping that Milan will not be used to the speed of our game. Against Real Madrid away, Juventus at home and Barcelona in Paris we came flying out of the tracks if we can produce one of those performances then we will be fine, if the tempo is slow then it will be a long night.
