I hate Manchester United. I can honestly sit here in my room, at my laptop and tell you all that I hate Manchester United more than anyone. I hate them more than Spurs, more than Chelsea and more than West Ham.

However there is no doubt that Man United were far superior to us in Saturdays game. We didn’t have a single shot on target and were quite frankly pissed on. We even got off lightly, it could have been 6 or 7 nil to United if it wasn’t for Jens.

When Gallas made a horrendous backpass in which Lehmann miraculously sprinted out and cleared it, I knew this was going to be a long night.

For me the biggest weaknesses were the two young fullbacks; Hoyte and Traore. They were caught out of position many times which led to either Toure or Gallas having to cover for them thus making our defence very stretched and letting United in time after time.

In addition to this Eboue and Eduardo were providing zero cover to the fullbacks which meant there were massive holes in their positions time and time again. Even when they were in position they were still beaten so easily. Nani was too tricky for Hoyte and Park was too clever for Traore.

It wasn’t a matter of quality, it was a matter of balance. Wenger was forced to make quite a few changes as a good deal of our players were not completely fit while Fergie had the ability to choose who he played and where he played them.

We made many mistakes and soon we found ourselves 4 goals down.

Well that was that and I now look ahead to the 12th of August when hopefully I will be marching up Matt Busby Way towards Old Trafford, ready for revenge. On that day we will hopefully have our full team out. Nani will NOT get the better of Sagna or Clichy. Carrick will NOT see a pass before Flamini reads it. Rio will NOT cope with Adebayor.

And so I repeat a chant that was sung at Old Trafford on Saturday

“We’ll be back, we’ll be back, we’ll be back to win the league.. WE’LL BE BACK TO WIN THE LEAGUE”

Don’t count your chickens before they’ve hatched United.
