Make no mistake, injuries of not if we play like we did on Saturday against Milan then we will get beaten by 2 clear goals. We are going to have to step up our performances all over the pitch.
Hello there once again,
It is Monday morning once again and I feel like a steaming lump of turd but I expect to feel this way these days. The Arsenal result really does not do anything to make me feel any brighter. I mentioned on the Match Report that I should have felt relived when Bendtner scored but I just felt blank, still annoyed, still very frustrated.
Like most Arsenal fans I didn’t expect us to be top of the league at this stage of the season but I was positive. Now we are in this position I couldn’t just say ‘well, we have done better than we expected to so I am happy with second’ no Arsenal fan should feel that way.
Manchester United are clearly in good form and are probably looking forward to every match where as our players may feel the pressure slightly.
Tomas Rosicky and probably more importantly Robin Van Persie are needed more than ever and the sooner they are on the teamsheet the better for everyone. I expect the latter to have a place on the bench either Tuesday against Milan or against Wigan on Saturday.
Cesc Fabregas has been talking up the squad.
“If a team is weak mentally, you do not come back from these games – because these are matches when everything is against you, maybe it is not the best game of your life, but still you come back and get the points. That means something.
“We have to be strong and at least we have come back fighting until the end.
Maybe the return of Tomas and Robin can spark Cesc Fabregas back to life because he hasn’t been the same player since his injury after his purple patch at the start of the season.
Arsene Wenger blamed our poor showing on fatigue but I am not so sure about that. We had a week off to prepare for the Aston Villa clash and it should be enough time to rest tired legs and tired minds.
Make no mistake, injuries of not if we play like we did on Saturday against Milan then we will get beaten by 2 clear goals. We are going to have to step up our performances all over the pitch.
Tuesdays game can really pick up our season the way it did when we beat Real Madrid in the Bernabéu. We have to find the physical resources as Arsene would say to dominate them for the first whistle. If we score first then we have a great chance of going through (obviously)
Clarence Seefdorf is a doubt for the game as are a few Milan players but I will not take any of that seriously until I see the Milan teamsheet. I hope Kaka is not fit enough to play because he will be a much much better player than he was in the first leg at the Emirates.
I am not even going to mention about this transfer budget that Arsene now has, oh I guess I have. Will it make a difference to anything? Nope… moving on.
I mentioned a few weeks back that I wanted to start a podcast and that I wanted your feedback, well that is still the case. Thanks to the people who did give their thoughts, and anyone else who can think of something entertaining or interesting to feature on it then please click the Contact Button
