Robin ready to rock / Sad Thierry / Sorry Boro

I had that feeling when I heard a few of his quotes this season about how he is not used to this and not used to that etc. Let that be a lesson to any player who is starting to get big for his boots.

Good afternoon all,

I am in very good spirits right now. I played football last night and hit 4 goals and created the other 2 in a 6-3 victory. It was so fun, shame that Arsene and his scouts were not watching I would have been the new summer signing. Ok, maybe it is a good thing that they were not there after all.

I don’t want to bore you with news that you really are not bothered about but I gotta tell you about my fourth. The opposition were pushing forward in search of a goal to get them back into the game but we managed to break and I received the ball on the left side of the half way line, I drove forward to the D and I floated the ball over the keepers outstretched arm into the top sidenetting of the far post. Paul Merson eat your heart out. Those of you who watched the George Graham era will know that Merse was the chip specialist. Unfortunately for him he also looked like the chip shop specialist at the end of his Arsenal career.

Anyway back to more pressing issues. It looks like Robin Van Persie has been called up to the National squad which is very annoying to me. It is stupid Internationals that started this Van Persie injury mess this season. He damaged his ligaments playing for Holland early in the season, then he picked up thigh, bum, toe nail, armpit hair injuries.

Robin himself sounds pleased to be back, although frustrated for missing alot of the season.

“It has been very frustrating,” Van Persie told Arsenal TV. “I started the season with very big ideas, my ambition was very high and it still is.

“I have missed many games but I am thinking positive at the moment and I want to finish this season well with the team.

“I am happy to be back and am quite positive that we can win the league and the Champions League.”

Oh yeah, I apologise to Boro fans for my tone in yesterdays post. I just feel that whoever we play at home in our next game will receive the backlash of our frustration. I sounded a little arrogant but it wasn’t intended. I do try and write with a little sense and respect but I guess I sounded like a 15 year old United fan, or any United fan for that matter.

Congratulations to Liverpool for coming the fourth English side to get into the quarter finals of the Champions league. It looks like there will be at least one all English draw, I still hope it is not us. If it has to be any of them then I would choose Liverpool, regardless of their recent European form.

I am interested to know which team are fans would like to play and for what reason, so please leave a comment below.

Robert Pires has hinted of Thierry Henry’s unhappiness in Spain.

“Obviously Thierry hasn’t the same role at Barcelona as he had at Arsenal,” Pires said. “They are asking him to play on the wings and I think he’s not comfortable.

“He hasn’t said anything yet, but I’m sure he will express his bad feelings. If I told you Henry’s happy, I would lie. It’s complicated for him.

“I know him well and I can tell you he wants to play up front. I am a bit sad to see him play at this position and I understand his anger after the game because he hasn’t been able to help the team as he wanted to.”

I had that feeling when I heard a few of his quotes this season about how he is not used to this and not used to that etc. Let that be a lesson to any player who is starting to get big for his boots. The grass is not always greener elsewhere. To be honest he just has to wait and see what happens because Rijkaard is likely to pushed out in the summer and another coach may want to see Henry alongside Eto’o. There have been a few games in Eto’o’s absence when Henry was playing on the left wing and Messi was playing as a central striker. That made me scratch my head a little but hey, what do I know.

Mattieu Flamini is doing his captains but by telling the players to stop moaning and complaining

“The pitch was horrible but it was the same for both teams. Of course we like to play and we had to play more long balls, so it was more difficult for us.

“But you cannot moan. You just have to score goals and we didn’t, so now we have to work harder in training and be ready for Middlesbrough on Saturday.

“When you want to win the title you have to be ready to fight.”

You tell em Matty! I think Flamini is certainly captain material. The way he encourages the team and gees them up is certainly one of the reasons why we have alot more steel about us this season.

That is about the size of things at this moment.
