I said in yesterdays bog that we were out of the title race which may have been slightly rash. We are only a point behind Chelsea who are in second and Manchester United have some tricky games coming up. What I should have said is that we are out of title race if we do not rediscover our goalscoring form.

When you look around the team, it makes you scratch your head wondering where our next goal will come from. Adebayor is going through a sticky patch which CAN be forgiven considering he is our only goalscorer consistently this season. It is hard to know when Robin Van Persie will be sharp enough to win games. It took him a little while at the start if the season to get himself into good form even if he did manage the odd goal here and there.

Next up is Bolton away and I actually think we will see another Manchester City away performance. Although we looked a little toothless against Chelsea I thought some of our football was quick and fluid. We need Cesc to start getting into positions ahead of the front men.

Some news for you dreamers out there. Most of us have been screaming out for a natural wide man to give our team the variation that is needed to unlock doors and Arsene spoke on French TV and admitted that he liked Ben Arfa of Lyon and is interested in signing him.

I know that Mr Arthur is rated very highly along with Benezema but I have not seen alot of him apart from the customary YouTube club which is below, but to be honest I could look world class on YouTube if I wanted to.

I hope Arsene doesn’t pin his hopes on Vela in solving our width issues because he is another converted striker. I think it is time to see a natural winger with winging the other thing in his mind, I want someone to wake up in the middle of the night with winging dreams, all that stuff.

The Sun are claiming the Arsenal players are furious with captain William Gallas.

The representative of one unnamed Arsenal player told today’s Sun newspaper: ‘William has not behaved the way a captain should and has lost respect among some of the players. ‘He went round all of them in front of the cameras before the Chelsea game trying to gee them up but some think it was a bit phoney.’

As long as it is not serious and it clears the air and gets everyone focused again then it fine by me. It is healthy. A squad of committed men with a whole load of testosterone flying around is bound to cause friction around one or two of them during the season especially when they appear to tie bombs to their ankles at this stage of the season,.

We are going through a shitty period clearly, is there time for United to go through another? I sure hope so but I am doubting it at this stage.
