What a truly awful day today. Rain is one thing, cold is another but a mixture of both is not fun whatsoever. I could have sworn there was a little warmth and sun out yesterday.
Arsene Wenger has come out in full defence of his captain after the press have been doing there very best to attack him as often as they can possibly muster.
He said: “I believe he had not the best of performances on Sunday, and he would be the first to agree with that, but I don’t question his leadership nor his position in the team.
“You have the same William Gallas – and the same people said it was a good choice to make him captain when we were five points ahead, and you have not to go too much overboard.”
Do you ever remember John Terry or Rio Ferdinand getting treated in the same way that Gallas is treated? nope, I didn’t think so.
Kolo Toure has had his say on the title race.
He said: “It seems that this season the title race involves three teams and this shows that the league is really strong at the moment,”
“But we have to concentrate on ourselves, and on what we have to do over the remaining games – if we win the rest of our games we will have a great chance of winning the title.”
I have heard alot of talking from this team for weeks now, I would rather not hear anything else from the squad about the title race or winning something.
The only talking should be done on the pitch (as Vieira used to say)
Lets stop chatting and win the remanding games, because every game is important. I am just concerned that we do not have enough matches to get our confidence and form back. Usually we are stronger towards the end of the season so it is very disappointing that we have fallen away at this stage.

I agree with Arsebloggers post today that Kolo Toure should be moved over to right back and Senderos should partner Gallas in the center. But which Senderos will it be? Has he been out of side long enough to have to build up again from scratch or does he still have the match sharpness.
Our fringe players should really play in reserve matches, at least every now and then. Players like Bendtner, Gilberto and Denilson would be alot sharper when they come into the team but obviously it means that some younger players would not develop as quickly as they would do if they had more football like they currently do.
I have said this over the whole of March so far and it hasn’t been true but I have to speak my mind. I think we will be back against Bolton and win the match.
