Wenger’s budget / Van Persie / Jens Off?

We all know of his class and it has been extremely frustrating over the last two seasons. I would rather a player with less talent who played twice as many games

Good day to you’all.

I have opened my laptop on the train writing this bog as I do every day (pretty much) and it has hit me. The season is over with, no more games to look forward to nothing for the players to prepare for. Apart from transfer rumours what on earth can I talk about?

One thing to speak about is the Arsenal supporters trust meeting with Ken Friar that took place last night. I do not know the in’s and out’s but what I gather is that Arsene will have around £20 million to spend on players during the summer, which will probably include wages. So it is not the £70 million that some sites have reported.

Apparently Thierry Henry wants to come back but it will not happen. And rightly so.

Arsene Wenger has publicly supported Van Persie’s talent and wants to give him a chance to show his ability.

“Robin is unfortunate with injuries at the moment but in my opinion it is nothing more than that,” said Wenger.

“It’s true that he has missed many, many games this year. We lost him and Eduardo at the same period and it was really bad luck because Eduardo had come on well too.

“You always hope that next season Robin will have an injury-free season. He has so much talent so I am very keen to keep him, I trust him and I hope that he will get rid of his injuries.

We all know of his class and it has been extremely frustrating over the last two seasons. I would rather a player with less talent who played twice as many games. Obviously I hope Van Persie can keep fit next season but it seems as if he whenever he plays he pulls up with some type of injury.

It looks like the mad one is set to join German club Stuttgart.

He said: “Yes, if I choose to keep playing, then I can imagine playing for VfB (Stuttgart). VfB is an established name in the Bundesliga.”

Arsene seems to think that he will retire but I think he will want to retire after playing more football.

Right, have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.

Until tomorrow.
