Is there something we don’t know about? Is it just two mates talking about a wish? or is something happening behind the scenes?
Good afternoon all, a later than usual blog today, haven’t been around the Internet today but I’ll jump at the chance to do so now.
So what of the Spanish? Impressive weren’t they?! Even without our midfield play maker they look very confident and fantastic at keeping the ball. The way the midfield passed and swapped positions reminded me of Arsenal. When you have David Villa and Fernando Torres up front you always have a chance of scoring goals.
If they can be strong defensively then they have as big a chance as anyone. I am not sure that they are strong at the back though. We shall see.
Cesc Fabregas has stated yet again that he wants Spanish teammate David Villa to join Arsenal.
“He would be amazing for the English league,” Fabregas said of Villa.
“I would like to have him in my team because as you can see he can make the difference.
“He’s an amazing player. He has mobility, he scores goals. He plays well at the back of defenders, in front of them, he’s a tremendous player.”

Now Cesc talking about Villa yet again..
Is there something we don’t know about? Is it just two mates talking about a wish? or is something happening behind the scenes?
To be honest I cannot see it happening as I have said previously. If we didn’t have Eduardo (injured or not) then it could be a possibility but I cannot imagine Arsene breaking our transfer record to buy a player who really we do not need.
Don’t get me wrong, Villa would almost certainly be perfect in our side. His movement and finishing ability would be massive to us and I can imagine him working well with Adebayor. The big man, little man partnership at its best. But is Villa better than Eduardo? If so how much better? 17-25 million pounds better? No, I don’t think so.
Alexander Hleb appears to be a very confused soul these days. The player who has clearly made attempts to leave the club is now ‘angered’ that he has been linked with Bayern Munich.
“These reports anger me,” he told kicker magazine.
“I have not signed for Bayern, Barcelona or any other club for that matter.
“So much is being speculated and said, but I just want to have some peace and sit down with my closest friend [and representative] Niki Spilevski to consider my future.”
Alex?… just go please. Your future is boring me now. He obviously does not want to commit to the club so reading these kind of stories are quite annoying now.
Robin Van Persie is enjoying Dutch football and wants to win with style as he has said on many times about Arsenal.
He said: “We want to show you can win a big title playing great football, it’s what we believe in.
“I think we played some wonderful football against the world champions, especially as the second goal started right from our own goal-line. It was a fantastic quality goal, a fantastic counter-attack and a good finish as well.
“It reminds of the football we play at Arsenal because we have an amazing counter-attack at Arsenal, too.
“Everyone knows what Arsene Wenger thinks about the way you should play football and it’s the same with Holland.
“It’s important to us. We are brought up on a certain way of football and we think we have a bigger chance to win if we play better football. If you play good football you create more chances and if you take those chances you win. It’s logical for me.”
I would like to see the Dutch take on the Spanish. That is one game I will be excited about.
Have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.
Until tomorrow.
