YourVision – A major summer overhaul at Arsenal? I don’t think so.

The 2007/8 season for Arsenal was a success in my opinion.
Sagna came in and immediately settled into the team, whilst bringing defensive solidity in the right back position and boosting our attacking play down the right hand side, Emmanuel Adebayor took over the goal scoring responsibilities from the legend Thierry Henry and scored 30 goals, whilst playing the majority of his time up front on his own, Cesc Fabregas added goals to his game with a healthy contribution of 13 goals, Eduardo (after a slow start) contributed to 12 goals & made a statement to Wenger & the fans that he is the fox in the box striker that we have been waiting for (since the ultimate fox in the box, Ian Wright), Bendtner came to the fore with his excellent build up play and knack of scoring crucial goals to rescue games for us this season, Flamini (Arsenal player of the season for me) added drive and bite into our midfield etc. There were so many more highlights that I could’ve added.
The above highlights alone has shone to me that this team is progressing very nicely and that not a lot of changes need to be made. If Hleb leaves (which will be a BIG loss because his ball retention is superb and he has a eye of a needle when it comes to spotting a pass), then he will need to be replaced (looks like Samir Nasri will be the Hleb replacement). If we can sign a tall, dominating centre half to play alongside Toure or Gallas (Toure & Gallas can play together) & sign a replacement for Flamini (hopefully Yaya Toure), then I seriously think we will have a squad capable of challanging for all 4 trophies next season.
Don’t forgot we have a new forward coming back from loan next season in Carlos Vela (who can also play left wing), the re-emergance of a fresh, fully fit Tomas Rosicky (who we missed for the majority of this season), exciting youngsters on the verge of breaking into the first team (Merida, Lansbury, Gibbs, Randall & Barazite) and more exciting football from the MIGHTY GOONERS!
KEEP THE FAITH!
