That Arshavin is some little player isn’t he? Unless moves have already been made to get his services then I guess it could prove a little difficult to buy someone who has obviously performed wonderfully well on the world stage.

Russia were by far the best team last night and had countless chances to win the game, they got there in the end thanks to the drive and directness of Arshavin. How we would benefit from that kind of player. I can see the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barca and Inter standing to attention.

Robin Van Persie came on at half time to attempt to save the day but it wasn’t Robin’s day. He wasn’t effective enough and could not influence the game as he would have wanted from the right hand side. Now, go home, put your feet up and rest. An injury free Van Persie will be so important for next season.

Everyone seems onto the Adebayor to Barca story at the moment, still no denial from any players, clubs, agents or managers as yet. I guess this will run and run.

I remember Wenger talking about Adebayor at the end of the season saying that he scored goals because the team created the chances, he also said that Adebayor has to improve and must keep his feet on the ground. I remember thinking that the tone of the article seemed a little unlike Wenger, I cannot find it now but if anyone has a link then post it in the comments.

Wolfsburg have their eye on Hleb… is that some kind of joke? Its a little like Reading coming out and saying they are targeting Messi for next season.

There is not much in the way of news apart from speculation, and I am a little fed up of speculation. Looking forward to the Spain vs Italy match this evening.
