Arseblog are claiming that the deal is not sorted because Marseille want to wait for some reason until they are ready to announce it. Arsenal insider are claiming that Arsenal have to announce it first due to the stock market

Is this the longest ongoing transfer in our history? As you all know by now, Mr Nasri announced on his own website that he had completed his transfer to Arsenal football club only for the site to be taken down (I didn’t even get to see it) then his agent and Marseille have denied that the transfer has been finalised.

Arsenal have been sitting there with their lips firmly sealed. There seems to be a major communication breakdown going on with all three parties. Surely his agent would have told him not to say anything until… whatever the issue appears to be.

Arseblog are claiming that the deal is not sorted because Marseille want to wait for some reason until they are ready to announce it. Arsenal insider are claiming that Arsenal have to announce it first due to the stock market. So who knows.

Whatever the reason is, it appears to be very close but we are still waiting for the finer details to be ironed out. The sooner this is solved the better because it is getting a tad silly now. I have said that too many times for one transfer, that is how long this has dragged on.

The Telegraph have linked us to Spanish midfielder David Silva. Maybe they wanted to fill some space by writing another rehashed made up story but got mixed up with David Villa, perhaps another break down in communication between author Emily Benammar (author of article) and her boss.

Arsene Wenger was watching the Spain v Italy match in the stands and I was wondering like many Gooners if anyone caught his eye or if he had been tracking anyone from either team.

David Silva has been one player who I have liked since the tournament started as I did not watch as much Spanish football last season like I usually do. Being a Valencia player who are in financial difficulty we could probably get him for a good price depending on which other clubs were chasing him.

Like most transfer speculation, it is very likely to be just that.. speculation.

Cesc Fabregas has spoken about Adebayor’s future.

“Emmanuel is a very good player,” said Fabregas. “There has been a lot of talk about his future and we will see what happens in the next few weeks.

“It will be his decision and I hope when he makes his choice – it will be the best decision.”

You would kind of expect Cesc to say that he is an Arsenal player and is not going anywhere if there was no truth in the Ade off to rumour.

Right, must cut it short today

Have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.

Until tomorrow.
