Some bits and pieces of transfer rumours today and it is just what I wanted to hear. Andrei Arshavin has apparently, allegedly, supposedly chosen Arsenal as the club he would like to play for.

“Andrei would love to play for Arsenal,” Arshavin’s representative Dennis Lachter is quoted as saying in the Daily Express.

“Their style of football would be perfect for him.”

Can that be misinterpreted? Taken out of context? I don’t think it can. It is as clear as day. As I have said many times, I cannot imagine Wenger not being interested in Arshavin because if you were to think of a player that Arsene would like then it would be someone who is technically superb, creative, unselfish and can score goals and that is Arshavin.

Do we need another creative wide player? That is a good question. Is Rosicky, Nasri (at last), Walcott and Eboue enough to play out wide during the season? Possibly but then again Rosicky, Nasri and Arshavin could play behind the front striker and with Hleb soon to be departing to Barcelona then it means the number 10 role is available for European matches or difficult Premier League matches.

According to The Sun Wenger has declared interest in bringing the England international to The Emirates. Defensive midfielder, 27 years old for £18 million? I just cannot see it to be honest with you. Wenger would rather go abroad to France or Africa and pick up a player with the same talent for £8 million. Barry is a good player, good range of passing and a terrific engine but I think it is a case of the random midfield generator button being pressed by our friends at The Sun again I’m afraid.

Newcastle winger Charles N’Zogbia has swapped his kit for a short skirt and has flashed in the direction of North London.

N’Zogbia said: “I have dreamt about Arsenal since I was a kid. I’d be delighted to join the Gunners.

“It is a famous team that has big coverage in France. But Spurs are exciting too.

I can translate that to Arsenal are the best team in the world, would love to go there but if they do not want me then I suppose I better join Tottenham.

We have been linked to him for some time now but I just cannot imagine him playing first team football ahead of Rosicky, Nasri and Arshavin *ahem*

When I look at someone like Armand Traore then I think to myself why would we need N’Zogbia, just cannot see it to be honest. Yes he is 22 and is French but that is about how far I think this transfer will go. Expect to see him at Shite Hart Lane next season.

Oh, some news for you to take it. Get ready.. Hleb is closer to leaving! Top secret stuff. Oh and it seems awfully quiet on the Adebayor front. It has been a couple of days without Adebayor, Agent and Milan talking! Something is drastically wrong here. What is going on.

Just wanna act like a spoilt child for a moment if I may.. I WANT ARSHAVIN, I WANT ARSHAVIN, I WANT ARSHAVIN, I WANT ARSHAVIN!! There feel much better now.
