It is a shame that Francis Coquelin isn’t a couple of years older because we wouldn’t be arguing the fact that we lost Flamini
Sorry about the headline, couldn’t help that one.
Action packed day today guys and girls, plenty to say.
Firstly, I am in need of a hair cut, secondly, I have a nasty throat infection and I have just had a bowl of soggy cornflakes for my breakfast… oh did you mean football? oh well there is actually sod all going on why didn’t you say that you wanted to read about Arsenal in the first place>!
I know I keep saying this but words are not really enough to describe my hate for International football, but lets not dwell on that. Let me go through the very little that is going on at the moment.
New French Portuguese or Portuguese French (not sure which way around that is supposed to be ) signing Amuary Bischoff has spoken about his injury and is set to be fit for the first team in a couple of weeks.
“The injury is getting better bit by bit,” said Bischoff. “I’ve been doing ball work for five or six days now and I am running three times a week. I’m nearly pain-free and hope to be back as soon as possible.
“It’s been difficult. I’ve been injured for a long time but Arsenal have shown faith in me. They have got me in great shape and been brilliant. They monitor me with a daily programme and a trainer is there for me every day. I think that little by little I’m getting there and will soon be back on the pitch.
“I think that in two weeks I’ll be training with the team and if all goes well, I’ll speak with the manager and coaches here. Then I’ll be back as quickly as possible.”
I cannot believe how much negative response there has been towards a player who has never kicked a ball in an Arsenal shirt, not only that but 99% of supporters have never even see this guy play. I hope he turns out to be a great little asset to the squad and look forward to those slagging him off start praising him and Wenger for the find.
It is a shame that Francis Coquelin isn’t a couple of years older because we wouldn’t be arguing the fact that we lost Flamini. I hope this team stays together in time for this youngster to mature a little more and join them in the first team. He looks exactly the type of player we currently need alongside Cesc but at 17 he is vastly inexperienced and raw. What a find though.
Speaking of Monsieur Flamini, The new AC Milan midfielder has been speaking about his former club.
“I believe Arsenal can do something good in the competition [Champions League],” he said. “I will support Marseille and Arsenal in the Champions League this season.”
He also has no regrets about leaving Arsenal and playing the UEFA cup.
“I’m happy with the choice I’ve made and I don’t regret deciding to join AC Milan before knowing the results of the Serie A last season.”
“We can always win the Uefa Cup.”
Yeah right, its a bit like Arsenal going down and Wenger saying “I’m happy that we went down because we can win in the play off’s and have a great day out”
But to be honest, he was hardly going to say anything else would he. Milan lost 2-1 at home to Bologna and Flamini played the 90 minutes. I must admit I was hoping to see him on the bench and not get a look in. I think that is the evil side of me.
One more thing before I go, apparently Appiah has failed a medical before he set off to feature for Ghana. Who knows. We wait with baited breath.
As Cilla Black used to say, Turrah!
Back tomorrow.
