What has happened to the Arsenal faithful? what has changed so dramatically in 3 months? Just 3 months ago Wenger was the messiah ( I use this title as I’m watching Monty Python while i write this). I was flabbergasted the morning after the close of the transfer window, i read that people wanted him out. I wont mention the blog and read it again for that matter, however, the blog was only the protagonist for some ridiculous comments.

I honestly cant think of a manager who has done more for their club. The reason he can be so bullish in defeat or be so outspoken is because of the passion he has for the club. Peter Hill-Wood said that Arsene wanted to leave the club in a better condition than when he took over. I believe he has achieved this already.

The stadium, the football we play, the youth academy, the revenue he has been integral to all of this. In addition, he has kept us in every title race bar two since his arrival, in one of the years we failed to mount a serious title challenge we reached the Champions League final.

There are fans at this club who don’t seam to know any of our history. 18 years without a trophy in the past, and this is without the huge modern juggernaut s of Chelsea and Man utd.

I am sick of hearing we wont win this if we don’t buy this or that player. I remember when we went unbeaten, the summer before was very similar, no players in, utd were champions, Chelsea had just been taken over. We signed Mad Jens and went on to win the title. I’m not suggesting that we will win it again this year, however, we could and I’m happy with that. There is nothing medeocer about Arsenal Football Club.

There is no manager in the world who would have kept us in this position during this period. In fact, most mangers would have either got us into further debt by signing big stars or left us for a club with money to spend.

For me the most important thing is Arsenal Football Club, the future and how we stand as a club and brand. Last year our revenue was in the top 5 in Europe, 3rd if i’m not mistaken.

Arsene is trying something amazing something special. If he achieves this it could be monumental to modern football. Mike Ashely has twice said he wants Newcastle to be run the Arsenal way, as have Southampton. If Wenger was to fail he fails. The club will survive and someone can come in and spend all our dough on the latest big name. The club is over 100 years old and will last another 100 years from know.

As an Arsenal supporter i am proud of how we are run, I am proud of our conduct and proud of the method of football we play. In a book named Art of War there are a number of quotes that support our method of football. My favorite is “One who cannot be victorious assumes a defensive posture, one who can be victorious attacks”. Think Liverpool and Chelsea.

As a club we avoid double standards and hypocrisy take utd on one hand Ronaldo was being unfairly per-sued on the other they took Berbatov ( although i must admit i enjoyed that a little). The the spuds, they done the same with both Ramos and Blackstock. While at the same time Liverpool taped up Keane. We are above all this, the thing i am most proud ofis that Wenger would chose this great club to try to achieve what he is trying to do. COME ON THE GUNNERS, Long live King Arsene.
