Rosicky / Cesc’s partner issue

Why do I have the feeling that, his answer was a bit of a guess and that it could well be after December. Wenger said that Rosicky is behind Eduardo which could well mean

Nothing much to talk about this morning really. Just been flicking around the blogs, sites, newspapers etc and have a collection of bits and bobs but nothing to really tuck into. I’ll give it a go nevertheless.

I suppose the most interesting subject is that of Tomas Rosicky. Arsene Wenger was asked in his press conference when the Czech International could be back in the Arsenal squad.

“I monitor Rosicky’s progress very closely, but at the moment it is very difficult to put a date on his comeback,” Said Wenger.

“We are not pessimistic about the future of his career, but we still need more patience. If he comes back before Christmas we have done very well – but I think we can achieve that, so in December he can play again.”

Why do I have the feeling that, his answer was a bit of a guess and that it could well be after December. Wenger said that Rosicky is behind Eduardo which could well mean that Eduardo could return anytime soon. I home he returns for a home match just so he can lap up the appreciation from the Gooner faithful.

The absence of Tomas Rosicky almost feels like Gael Clichy picking up a long term injury before we have seen how good he is. We have been robbed of a little genius, his influence would have won us plenty more points last season I am certain of that (well, as certain as I could be of course)

When he does return to the match day squad then he will have a massive task on his hands to get back into the team if the likes of Nasri and Walcott continue to improve. Nice option to have on the bench don’t you think? I still like the idea of a creative midfield of Nasri, Cesc, Denilson and Rosicky with someone like Eduardo and Vela upfront. Chances galore accompanied with a high conversion rate. Tasty. Forget the balance, height, partnerships questions, I am just dreaming for a second ok?!

Abou Diaby is back in contention after the International break according to ze boss. We know that Arsene wants to partner him with Cesc but will he throw him straight back into the side when match fit? or will he stick with Denilson. Denilson has played non stop since pre season and has been inconsistent. Denilson can boast some impressive stats since the start of the season, he has created several goals already so far and has found his name on the scoresheet twice something Hleb could dream of at this stage of the season.

Alex Song could well be in the side against Sunderland on the weekend to give the Brazilian a break. The one thing that both Diaby and Song have over Denilson is strength and height.

Sunderland talk tomorrow, got stuff to do now but have a great day.

Until tomorrow.
