It looks like he sees the pass early and keeps it very simple. He had an curler just wide in the first half when he strode forward and bend the ball towards the top corner but just couldn’t quite get enough curl on his effort
The almost forgotten man Amary Bischoff played his first game for Arsenal in the 3-2 victory against Stoke City.
I, like many have been interested to find out what type of player the young Frenchuguese midfielder was like. Bischoff has a very upright running style. This was his first game since picking up injury playing for Werder Bremen so he was never going to show his full potential.
He was not a major influence in the game, couldn’t get on the ball that often in the early stages but when he did get on the ball he used it well. It looks like he sees the pass early and keeps it very simple. He had an curler just wide in the first half when he strode forward and bend the ball towards the top corner but just couldn’t quite get enough curl on his effort.
Bischoff is not a dribbler like Wilshere, he is not overly fast but he looks like a creative passer like Randall.
We will have a better understanding of what he can do when he is match fit and has games under his belt at a higher level.
Jack Wilshere was the star of the show once again last night. He was a constant problem for Stoke City, flicking the ball over two players heads on separate occasions, nutmegging a defender and then playing a reverse pass were just a few highlights that the 16 year old produced. There is already an air of expectancy when he gets on the ball, that has only happened because of his amazing talent.
Silvestre was good and looked fit at the back. It wasn’t really much of a test for him as Arsenal had most of the ball but the signs were positive.
The Frenchman was pleased with his showing.
“I feel good,” declared Silvestre afterwards. “I got through the 90 minutes without any discomfort or pain and physically I felt at the same level as my team-mates so it felt good.
I think he received alot of unfair stick from Arsenal fans and could turn out to be a very good squad player for the club.
The Cesc to Barca stories are back in full swing and to be honest I cannot be bothered to entertain it this time. This has happened far too many times already, if anything happens then I shall comment but currently he is an Arsenal player and we do not need to sell our brightest talent. End of story really.
Have a good evening, back tomorrow.
