As our right sided players are all out, I would guess that Djourou will be the one filling in gaps
Early and quick post this morning. The William Gallas quotes are well and truly in full swing this morning. I wonder what the manager makes of it all. Arsene Wenger has always believed it is best to protect his players in public and to handle things behind the scenes, it appears that capi Willy G seems to think differently.
Arshavin’s representatives are back at it once again. We had it all throughout the summer, and now I guess they are preparing themselves for a push for the January Window.
Agent Dennis Latcher said
“For the moment my player is being followed in England, Italy and Spain. Of course all this isn’t new.
“There are several things happening, but we have had not concrete offers.
“Real Madrid are in pole position, but apart from that, we have not entered into any negotiations.”
So Real are favourites, just as Barca, ourselves and then Tottenham were favourites. Like I said in the summer, I just cannot see it. If he comes to the Premier League then I would imagine Chelsea would land him.
With Theo Walcott now out for at least 3 months, it will be interesting to see if he attempts to replace him. We should have Rosicky (prays) back around that sort of time. But he will be eased in gently.
Arsene Wenger gave us some bad news about the state of our squad in his press conference.
Kolo Toure is now out of the squad for the Manchester City game with a calf problem, it makes our right hand side look very very weak indeed. Sagna, Toure, Walcott and Eboue are all injured and our manager will have to juggle his pieces of puzzles around a little to make then fit into the board.
With Cesc out with suspension we are lacking options. He has a few options but I would imagine that Nasri will be switched to the right with Diaby playing as a flying winger. Yeah.. I know, I know.
Mean Lean’s Predicted Line up

Mean Lean’s Prediction
It is quite a shame that we do not have our players for this game, I had envisaged it to be an open game with open spaces at both ends. Shaun Wright-Phillips vs Gael Clichy will be an interesting battle. It is the first not so good period for Clichy since he settled into the Arsenal team and he will be looking to regain some form. I am intrigued about what Arsenal will do with Robinho who will pop up all over the place.
I hope Arsene goes for Aaron Ramsey in the middle of midfield but I guess that our manager will go for the safer option and use Song’s defensive ability instead of the box to box Welshman.
As our right sided players are all out, I would guess that Djourou will be the one filling in gaps, as I do not see Wenger moving Gallas out of the center, even if he wanted to.
At least we have Van Persie back in the squad after a brace for his country on Wednesday.
Manchester City 2 Arsenal 2 (Van Persie, Diaby)
Changes all over the pitch will not help our defensive game (what is left of it) but the return of 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 will see us create more chances than we did against Aston Villa.
Our squad is so thin right now that I have drafted in Gavin Hoyte to the bench for defensive cover. Perhaps Bishoff will be included to add the numbers on the bench.
Thats it from me for today, enjoy your Friday. See you in the comments section.
